If yo I forget someone’s name, then just ask “What’s your name again?”.
But when they say it, then go “I meant your last name.”
You relearn their first name without looking forgetful, and learn their last name!
I just ask how they spell it. It's a bit embarrassing when thier name is like Bob or Emma though 😅
If you smile, people will like you. Unless you don't want to be liked, then don't smile.
The other is if you want people to fear you, don't talk, just watch. Introverts are terrifying to nearly everyone.😁
Don't want to talk to new people?
Sit in a corner and cry and if your short no one will see you because they can't look you in the eyes 🥲
Here’s mine:
If you want something from someone but know that they are unlikely to give it to you, simply ask for more than what you want and let them talk you down to what you actually want. You get what you want, they think they won.
Whenever someone is hiccuping I tell them that I’ll pay them $50 if they hiccup one more time. They all stop immediately and I have no idea why this works
If you stay calm and friendly during an argument, many if not most people will quit really quickly.
- This might sound cheesy, but treat everyone you meet with kindness and respect. Show them you want to cooperate and are on the same page with them, even if they aren't acting nice with you. Kill them with kindness. You will get your points through to them faster and easier, and avoid a lot of aggressions.
- If you have a point or an idea you want another person to really get into, try to indirectly guide them to that conclusion and make them believe it was their idea in the first place. Placing some key words, asking certain questions, providing needed information etc. If you just blatantly tell your idea, the opponent will immediately start thinking what could be wrong about it, how to object it. But instead if you offer a problem and little hints about solving it, and the opponent finds the solution, the rewarding mechanisms in their brain go wild and they instinctively feel good about that idea, and the process of finding the bad sides is not even started.
When you’re having a conversation and someone interrupts you, let them finish talking and then just start your last sentence over from the beginning like they never spoke. You get to finish what you wanted to say and they realize they were an @$$ for interrupting you. This works especially well in the workplace.
