I need some help, as my ED has been worsening dramatically, so what helps you?

Get an animal, like a cat or a dog, and whenever you feed them, eat something yourself.

Also, start small! Eat a cheesestick or a banana, then gradually eat more and more. No point in trying to eat a whole thanksgiving feast if you’re not hungry.

My best friend deals with it by trying to try one new thing a day, plus what she already can. Even if it is just something tiny.

I've been dealing with mine for 12 years by calorie counting to make sure I at least hit a minimum of how many calories I need to maintain weight. As an orthorexic, I hadn't really noticed how little I was taking in as I was eating healthy foods and I feared fat and sugar. So now to try to continuously break that mindset I bake with healthier recipes and figure out the nutrition facts so that it feels safer to indulge in it because I know exactly what I am putting in myself.
For anorexics, I know that counting can lead to cutting and can be a slippery slope, but for someone who can convince themselves that number is a survival thing, it has gotten me through the past decade alive.

Sometimes I like to go out to a restaurant with friends and I order something and we end up talking and laughing and I start eating without thinking about it because I was so distracted having fun. It doesn’t always work but when it does it’s a lot easier. Hope this helped!
