I need some help, as my ED has been worsening dramatically, so what helps you?

Get an animal, like a cat or a dog, and whenever you feed them, eat something yourself.
Also, start small! Eat a cheesestick or a banana, then gradually eat more and more. No point in trying to eat a whole thanksgiving feast if you’re not hungry.
I've been dealing with mine for 12 years by calorie counting to make sure I at least hit a minimum of how many calories I need to maintain weight. As an orthorexic, I hadn't really noticed how little I was taking in as I was eating healthy foods and I feared fat and sugar. So now to try to continuously break that mindset I bake with healthier recipes and figure out the nutrition facts so that it feels safer to indulge in it because I know exactly what I am putting in myself.
For anorexics, I know that counting can lead to cutting and can be a slippery slope, but for someone who can convince themselves that number is a survival thing, it has gotten me through the past decade alive.
Sometimes I like to go out to a restaurant with friends and I order something and we end up talking and laughing and I start eating without thinking about it because I was so distracted having fun. It doesn’t always work but when it does it’s a lot easier. Hope this helped!
This is such an important topic because most people don't realize how addicting this behavior is. While you may have voluntarily started, at some point you become enslaved to your mind and craving to lower and be smaller. A huge thing in this is finding where your identity lies. If your identity is found in your waist size or thigh size or a number on the scale or how healthy you eat or how good of a mia or Ana or many others that you are, then you won't find true freedom. Your value has to come from something unchanging. Someone unchanging. That your value will not lessen if you recover. Once the heart is healed, then the body can start to recover. I’m a Christian. I also want to be a counselor. I've struggled with an eating problem. I have friends who have struggled with an eating problem. The way that you can be freed from this is through Christ. That's the best way to find freedom. There's so many supporters out there who do want to help you. You are never alone in this. ♥️
And it's okay to get better. To not win at being small. Because a game where you're dying is not an game worth winning. Start focusing on health. Sit with people who love you and will eat with you and make sure you're taking care of your body. Seek a therapist -- they’re a gift! Throw away that scale. Your life is so, so much more than that. So much more.
