I’m basing this on a Tumblr post I saw—someone mentioned that their past resolutions included trying as many shapes of pasta as they could in a year or buying and eating a fruit they’d never tried before while reading its Wikipedia article. I want to hear about your fun resolutions that add a touch of whimsy to your life! Feel free to share your ideas, or use this as inspiration for your own delightful resolutions.

Here are mine, both fu and general
- each month read fairy tales or myths with themed snacks and/or music, then draw a map based on the places in the stories
- take more walks, but with a theme (look for things shaped like stars, find things of a certain color, etc)
- paint rocks and hid in places
- leave small notes in places (potted plants, library books, etc) with a compliment
- take up at least one more challenge (i do goretober and nanowrimo)
- send aesthetic letters to my friends
- act on ideas (if i want to move my bookshelves i will or things like that)
- do literally anything ‘for aesthetic purposes’
- host themed hangouts at least a couple times (fairy picnic, crow party, starry night, etc)
General
- write every day, either on story or in journal
- drink water every day
- be more mindful/grateful
New Year’s resolutions should be fun y’all! They should make you wanna do them!
Not bending to my mom's every demand and offer. Started today. She called me. I didn't pick up the phone. I'm just not in the mood to listen to her talk at me for an hour about what she did last night and the usual "updates" of her work drama, and her going on about her ex from 3 years ago. Then her asking me about my day but then cut me off when I go on talking about something else more interesting than daily itineraries. It makes her mad when I don't answer just because she calls while I'm technically "free" to answer. But I need to be firm with my boundaries.
I've been making fun New Year's resolutions for a long time. Next year I'm going to buy a mushroom growing kit, try beetroot soda, I tried Punch needle works and I'm going to continue doing them. I'm learning Latin, I'm taking a course where you can build your own camera obscura. I add a couple of hours of exercise (now 5-6 hours a week to 8-9 hours) and continue exploring different food cultures. Instant noodles are not healthy, but I plan to try one special one a month. (buldag 3xspicy has already been tried and it exceeds my limit in tolerance of hot food). I also try to stretch my comfort zone by being more spontaneous and social. Such easy things and you won't feel bad if you can't stick to them. Edit: Oh, I cut myself a bob and since my hair is wavy now I have a lovely new hairstyle. With long hair, in the winter I look like the bassist of a rock band from the 80s with my dry, frizzy hair that no amount of conditioner has been enough for, but not anymore! Happy new year to all pandas!!!
My resolutions 1. Buy less Stuff 2. Use the things that I have 3. Use all of my watercolor palettes at least once
A fun one would be : On my birthday, to drive around the city, blasting Pirates of Caribbean music and acting like Jack Sparrow.
I totally read this as what are your fun NYE plans, and I was like we bought a bottle of sparkling wine and are going to drink that. So I guess that's also my resolution. Drink that bottle of wine. Edit: because I pulled an American and called sparkling wine champagne. 🍾🥂
To forego struggle. It isn't sustainable and it's wrecking my life.
