Keeping it simple helps too, Ginger, clove and orange tea. (Avoid all sugar drinks) Zinc and C. Chicken noodle or dumplings (homemade)

    Garlic soup. Garlic anything, actually. And ginger ale. Not because it's healthy, but just because it's somehow comforting.

    When I was feeling particularly congested (stuffy nose), my grandmother would put a pot of water on the stove and boil it. When steam would come up, I'd stand over top of it and breath in the steam to clear my nose. Not sure if it worked (ot was so long ago) but it's a distinct memory.
