As a child, the reason my stomach hurt was that I watched tv two minutes too long. My legs hurt because I didn't eat my peas, and the reason my head hurt was that I didn't brush my teeth; well at least according to mama.
When I was little I would always ask my mom “why is the sky blue?” And she would always answer “because if it was red it would burn our eyes out!” I never knew why she’d say that.
I didn't drink pop or eat candy for my early years because my mom told me if I drank pop, I'd explode. If I ate candy, all my teeth would fall out. You can imagine my reaction when I ate something my aunt gave me and she admitted it was candy.
