My so-called best friend started sleeping with my husband. So, I played the long game and didn't do anything physically to hurt her, just things that would ruin that day/night.

Things like her headphones getting caught in her bag zipper or her passport/ID slipping just out of reach... Yeah, they are still together, but I know I played the passive-aggressive system perfectly...

An ex boyfriend of mine s**ually assaulted me when I was injured after a car accident. I reported, but he got away with it. A few years later he was convicted of a similar crime towards a minor. After he was sentenced and imprisoned, I went on his Facebook wall (as myself) and shared the links to the newspaper reports of his conviction. All his friends, family and work colleagues saw, but he had no internet access so could not log in and remove it.

100% legal in my country. It's not slander or libel if you're sharing a publicly available conviction. I did not add any commentary on my own to the link. His wife was livid with rage at me though, and abused me severely. Still no regrets

This is petty revenge, but I'm still proud of it. I once had a boss named Bob who was a raging narcissist. Bob always thought he was the most important person in the room. He had a bad habit of rescheduling our staff meetings multiple times because "he had more important meetings to go to" and then showing up 45 minutes late to his own meeting, making all of us wait for him.

As part of his narcissism, Bob loved to throw out catch phrases and buzz words. So I decided one day that I was going to create "Bob's Buzzword Bingo." I found an on-line bingo card generator and entered in Bob's most used phrases. Then I discreetly distributed cards to all the people who weren't Bob's minions.

One of those people was a guy named D**k. D**k was just a few years away from retirement and his give a c**p factor was very low. So 45 minutes after the meeting time, Bob finally shows up and starts speaking his buzzwords. The rest of us are discreetly marking them off on our cards, hidden at the back of our notepads. After one of Bob's many impractical ideas, D**k spoke up and said, "Bingo, Bob, Bingo" like he was agreeing with what Bob said. But the rest of us knew the truth. I couldn't look anywhere but my notebook for the rest of the meeting because I knew I'd start laughing.

A second part of revenge against him: After a year, the university announced that Bob was "taking a sabbatical and not renewing his contract." (They fired him.) But his wife was still working there. Her computer had viruses so she took it to IT. When IT was cleaning it up, they found gay porn on it. Everyone knew the wife wasn't the one watching it. He was a jerk to IT just as much as his own staff, so the IT person who found it spread it through the IT grapevine and then to the regular grapevine and most of the campus knew.

My father would not allow me to practice any sport during my childhood and teenage years, in spite of my repeated pleas. He'd rudely dismiss me and send me to the kitchen because "this is what women do". He did support my younger brother (the "golden child") to practice several sports, because "he's my boy". It was so hurtful and unfair.

Fast forward to nowadays, we are both adults. My brother is an obese, sedentary man with some serious health issues. I am normal-weight and healthy, going to the gym 3 times per week for several years, and feeling great. Sweet revenge.

One of the best acts of revenge I have ever done is "living well". Let me explain.
Growing up, I was the victim of horrendous abuse at the hands of a cruel and vicious stepmother. She was relentless about destroying my self confidence, my self worth and my relationship with my father who as his only child and very much loved, she was jealous of. Over the years, I developed a lot of trauma and as many people do, I turned to rebellious means. I also developed an addiction to substances. She had a daughter from her first marriage and together, they had my half sister. Both of them could do no wrong in life.. (I am the oldest daughter in this blended family.)
Over the years, I'd heard anything from me being a "pi**e of sh*t" to never amounting to anything in my life. These mantras stuck with me and I carried this with me for decades. It became my identity.
Now, fast forward to the present and cue revenge: the daughter of my step mother has had 10 kids and my parents were forced to take care of and raise them because her and her deadbeat husband were so neglectful and lazy that the kids were living in squalor and filth. My husband and I shelled out $5,000 to help them with getting everything the kids needed in 2008 when my parents took custody of them. My younger sister had to stay living at my parents house to assist with caring for so many kids and it caused her and her husband to split up and her son wanted to live with his Dad instead of having to share his life with a bunch of kids. (I love my nieces and nephews but they're a handful since they are all autistic and have special needs.)
I did end up spending time in the correctional services in my home state but today, I have graduated college with a 3.9GPA, I have a successful career in behavioral health and my own side business. (The stepdaughter never graduated from high school and the other one did). My husband and I own not one but two Harleys and we bought a sailboat in 2021 and are planning to move to the ocean in 6mos.
Meanwhile, the stepsister is living in a tiny converted shed on my parents property because they would be homeless due to wrecking their lives all the way around and my youngest sister is still living at home.

Basically, I am the only one of the daughters who has done anything successful in life. I've been married for 23 years now to the most amazing Man who believes in my success and never gave up on me. I've got really great relationships with my children and I am over 5yrs clean from substance use. I've overcome the trauma and now help others do the same thing for a career!
Anyone who might relate to being told that they are never going to amount to anything and they will never succeed, I am living proof that it can happen, just believe in your own abilities and "live well"...

I love this story just because it's so petty~

I had 2 adult men in a comment thread quite viciously attacking me, since I had the audacity to comment on a picture with a good-looking man in it that the man was good-looking. They were calling me a $lut, a wh*re, a b!tch, every derogatory name men use to dehumanize women, they used it. They were also spewing a lot of really misogynistic nonsense. I was bored, so I had some fun counter-trolling them, asking them to define what those terms meant (acting like I genuinely had no idea), and when they contradicted themselves, grilled them on how their double-standards couldn't possibly exist (my favorite being "so, by your logic, was your wife a b!tch [virgin] or a $lut [not a virgin] when you married her?").

What really cracked me up were other commentors jumping in and laughing about how I wasn't taking any of their horseshit and leading them around in circles with their own words.

Eventually we were stuck in the same loop, so I went onto their profiles (everything was visible to the public), contacted their wives with screenshots of their virulently misogynistic comments, and expressed concern for their wellbeing at their being married to someone who talks about women like this. The comments IMMEDIATELY ceased and began to be deleted. What I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall to see the wives confronting their husbands.

My old neighbor called the city on us multiple times. We kept our grass short, but let it grow naturally, as in not a monoculture lawn. He yelled at my kids for playing outside in our yard and called the cops on a birthday party. So when we moved I took a trip to my dad's house in the middle of Monsanto cornfields. I gathered up dandelion seeds from the heavily chemical laden fields. Then I seeded his lawn. Last time I drove past he still had yellow spots all over his precious, perfect lawn.

I love this. My neighbor is meticulous in his yard work and gardening. I am not. I like a wild overgrown looking yard. THAT is MY aesthetic. It drives him up a wall. He usually asks me a few times each summer if he can cut my yard. I tell him have at it and he cuts it as short as possible. I can't wait to be able to afford a privacy fence. 😂

Idk if this counts… a year ago a friend betrayed me and we’ve lost contact. I signed them up for duolingo so they would get spammed w emails about practicing. I actually use the account so they can be lured into a false sense of security when the emails stop for a couple of days… before BAM. They also get weekly updates on a website about tissue paper.

Yes, I’m aware they could stop the emails at any time. Yes, I’m aware they probably don’t care. But it’s fun and feels like a small victory on my part.

I was in my first long-term relationship for 17 years. I was making good money in NYC and my partner was following his dream of being a commercial photographer in a studio near our home in the suburbs.

Right around his mid-forties, he went full throttle into a mid-life crisis with a guy that was half his age. I kind of knew something was up but also saw how icky and unrealistic the whole dynamic would be.

At my ex's insistence, he wanted to break up and be with his new love interest. It was painful for me but I kept thinking: "If I love this person and his new boyfriend is the answer, then so be it".

I made certain that this was what he really really wanted to do. Offering couples therapy, romantic weekends and personal trainers. He declined.

It's so odd that he didn't realize that I that owned the house and paid the rent on his studio. We split our joint savings account in equal shares and said our goodbyes. There were no fighting fits or unpleasant arguments. He was free and to my surprise, so was I.

About a year later, I had bought a great apartment in Manhattan and my world changed dramatically. I started making even more money, had an entirely new social life and was able to buy a summer home.

My ex couldn't afford the rent on his studio and had to give up on photography all together. He finally got an entry-level job as a screener for the TSA – which annoyed and embarrassed his demanding new partner.

One day, my ex had called me and asked if maybe we could get back together again. I declined.

About three months later, he and his boyfriend broke up.

I wouldn't call this revenge, but I did enjoy the phone call.

Laughter is the best medicine. Sometimes when you're in a sad state of mind, you can't help but think that you'll never smile and feel joy again. But the second you hear or see something funny? You try your best to hold back from laughing. It seems like even five seconds of laughing when you're in a bad mood can completely change how you're feeling at the time. All we really need is a little distraction and a reminder that we are still able to find happiness. If you're in need of a little pick me up, these revenge stories will give you some good laughs!

    19. HOW I GOT EVERYONE TO STOP COPYING OFF ME
Original Story By Source - September 12th, 2021

    Andy Barbour
“Years ago in my high school AP economics class, I was assigned to sit in the corner of the room where I was flanked by a handful of very popular, very lazy kids. After every exam, the teacher would announce (much to my chagrin) my “high score” to the class.

After a particularly challenging exam where I only scored 93%, the teacher announced that the guy to my right (let’s call him Matt) had ALSO scored 93%, his friend behind him 90%, and the friend behind HIM 90%! Needless to say, I vacillated between self-doubt and suspicion for a few days before I finally “congratulated” one of the 90%‘ers on his score.

With an impish grin, he admitted that his friend Matt had been copying off me for months and “thanked” me for helping “so many people do so well” in the class. The petty revenge gears started turning in my head for what seemed like ages before I replied “no problem, I’m just glad to help!”

At the next exam, I put my paper in very clear view of Matt.

He had been told that I was now willing to “help” him and his friends. I circled all wrong answers while making a special mark for the correct ones. Just before the time was up, I quickly changed my answers back when nobody was looking, turned in my exam, and smugly walked back to my seat.

What I didn’t know at the time was that the copying conspiracy didn’t just involve the kids sitting next to me but that my answers were written down and forwarded to the next 4 periods, all of which took an identical test.

One week later a record 22 people failed the exam. Matt empathetically remarked “Oh man, did you fail too!?” I flipped over my sheet: 100%.

Nobody ever copied off me in that class again.”

There is a reason you got 100 % on your exams - you are, not a smart cookie but a brilliant cookie.... Copying off people so they don't have to study is the perfect set up for failure for the rest of their lives.... I'll bet these classmates flunked life too. They end up on the YouTube videos and can't name the oceans on either coast of the US or.. either neighbor ( north and south) of the US... or who fought in the Mexican -American War. Or Where the Panama Canal is.

I was very in love, once. And the guy really liked me too. And there is always a girl, who need him more, with many doubtful methods. So, I don't fought, thought if it's something wholesome, he would not be lured. But he did. I know my sincere feelings, but respect others too, you know? I felt, they would not last long together. So they didn't. I don't feel it is my vengeance to her, but I felt I'm punishing him, from the very beginning. Sweet vengeance demand time and patience. Usually they destroy themselves, you just be free and watch.

So in my theater class, there is this person named Liam. They displayed several narcissistic tendencies, and always said they were better than everyone else. Liam never took any of the advice given from the actual DIRECTOR. They were really creepy towards people I knew and me, made weird comments, including saying how large this girl’s chest was (this was caught on the microphone by the teacher). They got fully undressed in the changing room which was so weird, and after being told to stop and being given a private changing room, they STILL changed in the regular dressing room. Nothing was done even thought both teachers knew about the sexual harassment and everything, including some of the bullying going on which was too much to list here.

Eventually, I was talking with some friends about them, and one of them admitted to destroying Liam’s makeup kit by pouring water and other things into it. Obviously it’s a small revenge and doesn’t make up for the people they hurt, but it was very satisfactory.

An acquaintance through work had her 2 cats poisoned by her neighbour. My uncle filled the trailer with a little slurry from the farm next door and then with manure from the stables round the back. Dumped 4 trailer loads all around the neighbours house making sure the doors were not easily accessible. I sincerely hope he had one hell of a hard time clearing all that mess up. The rest of the neighbours also added to his woe by complaining about the smell to environmental health.

Once you subscribe to certain magazines it impossible to stop the junk mail they send ... it could wipe out a forest. About 40 years ago I started collecting all the mail I got from a company I'll call RD ( get my drift?) I didn't open any on it... all junk mail. After about a year I decided to put them all in a box, I took one of the pieces of junk mail and after sealing it up the box I glued it to the box. So now I have a box full of junk mail, from this one company, addressed to me. It looked perfect... I wrote REFUSED on the box and mailed it. The PO must have sent it back to RD because..... I never got another piece of junk mail from them again.

Back in college, when I was in the shower, my roommate quietly came into the bathroom and lowered a rubber monkey head on a stick, so that when I was done rinsing my hair and opened my eyes, I see this face staring back at me. I yelled and jumped back and grabbed the shower curtain. Nearly gave me a heart attack. So weeks later (I wanted to wait till he wasn't expecting it), I filled the cap of his shaving cream can with glitter and then went off to class. I felt such schadenfreude later to hear that he got up late, rushed to take a shower, got out of the shower still wet, went to shave and POOF! all of a sudden had glitter stuck all over him! He then had to get back in the shower, but couldn't get it all off, so he had to walk in to class late glittering with glitter all over him. Revenge was sweet!

I work as a School Based Outpatient Therapist in a couple of different school. At this particular school I had a partner that I treated as an equal despite different titles and education levels. She was my right hand man and I could always count on her for an open minded perspective. The school counselor at this particular school would always talk down to my partner which made me a little upset and upset my partner almost as much. I decided I would have a little fun with the school counselor. I knew where she ran her small groups and what routes she would take to get there. I purchased a bottle of Liquid A** (think terrible fart spray) and would bomb her route and hit right outside her classroom for the better part of a school year. My partner and I would make sure we were able to see/hear the reactions of the school counselor and the kids. Only myself, the school principal (I was a guest in his school and wanted to make sure this would be considered okay and harmless), and my partner were aware of this. Be nice to everyone you meet. We are no better than anyone.

living well after my degenerative disease started to advance in my 32nd yr of marriage. up until then my then husband had been the same as he had been throughout the years. but, the day he saw me in a wheelchair for the first time he walked away embarassed to be seen with me. i left a few years later. still not in a wheelchair - only use it when i need to and very rarely. meanwhile, he is living his life and i guess he is happy. the person he hooked up with (unbeknownst to me towards the end of our relationship) kind of concerns me, though. it's because he is diabetic and i made sure he tried to eat properly, etc. turns out he drinks heavily, eats wrong and so far has had to have a finger amputated due to the disease. you can't spend over half your life with someone and still not care but i also know that i can't do anything to stop his self destructive ways...and i don't think his new squeeze will do anything as she is more concerned with being amiable and possibly holding out for his long awaited inheritance from his dad.

While living overseas, I had the misfortune of working with a particularly unpleasant individual (I wouldn't call it a "person"): a liar, a backstabber, a mouth, and worst of all, a filthy chain smoker. (Additional, it was the type that would spread its legs for anything with a d~~k, a different boyfriend every week.)

My background is in business and tax law. I kept track of where that mouth worked (main job and side jobs) and the mouth's claims of income. When the mouth returned home (the same country as me), I reported the undeclared income which that mouth never admitted to. I knew the law on reporting income earned overseas, which resulted in a HUGE tax bill for the mouth (many thousands $$$).

I made sure the mouth knew it was me, which enraged it even more. And since what I did was perfectly legal, there was nothing the mouth could do in revenge (not to mention being 10,000km away).

Well done, and I love the pronouns you use to strip IT of any human qualities 😂

I transferred to a different work location. One of the techs was a bully and would openly insult his peers. He was surprised that I am always ready to respond to this sort of stupidity. I fed remarks back to him. After a few years he upped his game and my response was what I thought minor. He went out on stress for six months. At the end of that he applied for a o six months which was denied. He decided to retire. He told the boss, who later told me that the guy was unhappy that I always had comebacks for his stupid remarks. He was also going to sue me for harassment! I laughed heartily explaining that I would relish a lawsuit and after my testimony which would have made his complaint irrelevant, he would then be hauled away in hopefully a straitjacket, never to be seen again.

Bullies can't handle getting their own (bleep) back... they just expect everyone to be bummed out and depressed because they have so much control over people... so when someone stands up them... "I'm going to sue" is not unsurprising. A good time will be had by all in court... except of course the bully. Don't hold your breath for that lawsuit... he's really a coward when it come down to it.

My story starts in first grade. I was outside at recess walking along the edge of the school playground. A girl from my class ran up behind me and pushed me into a big mud puddle. I was covered in mud. The teacher tried to help clean the mud off me, but it was a major mess. Fast forward to fifth grade. I walk out of the school at the end of one day. That girl is standing at the top of the concrete steps that go down the hill to the street. I ran up behind her and pushed her hard and she went crashing down the steps.
