Western Australia Rottnest Island. Not just for the quokkas- the beaches with white sand and shimmering water, the landscape, the walking trails- it’s absolutely amazing.

I totally agree! As a natural introvert, my house is my favorite spot to be! Home sweet home…

    Zagreb.

It's a beautiful city with long and interesting history and great cuisine, but tourists haven't really found their way there because everyone who goes to Croatia, goes to the cities on the shore like Dubrovnik.

Also Heraklion city center seems to have far less tourists on average than most rest of Crete. People kept talking Greek to us there because we looked vaguely local enough (two Mediterranean dudes). Not so in the tourist hot spots.

There are some really cool places in Australia that aren't on the main tourism circuit. Like Walhalla in Victoria- a small mining town with lots of historical buildings.

I was travelling a lot through europe the last years by camper van and discovered some really magical lonely places and wrote all the coordinates down in my travel diary. Especially in the baltic states, poland, france and corsika. If someone is interested, pm me. Don't want to make them public here :) Most destinations are kind of off grid and hidden, so that you can stay there for a night or two without someone noticing.

Please always be careful with nature and people, keep secret hideouts secret and leave these spaecial places clean.
