My family took many wonderful vacations, but our cross-country road trip was the greatest. I'd love to read your vacation accounts!

Our family took a trip to the UP in Michigan. We saw a reenactment of a war and my brother realized his walkie talkie was on the same frequency as the actors. During the entire reenactment he was giving the actors commands, and ruining it but it was the funniest thing we ever seen. Even the people around us were laughing.
Our 31-day road trip through the south! We stayed in Texas, Arkansas, Memphis Tennessee, Nashville Tennessee, Louisville Kentucky, West Virginia, Washington D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Louisiana. Actually right in the middle of the anniversary of this crazy trip. We did all this in 2018 in a 1995 oldsmobile
My family would probably say when we went to the Gold Coast but I was unimpressed by most of it. We were there for 10 days and didn't even go to the beach once!
My favourite was probably when we went to Paynesville (a coastal town in Victoria, Australia). Part of the reason was I had just broken up with my boyfriend and was feeling really footloose and fancy free. I also really liked the town, they made some amazing hot jam doughnuts, the pub was really good and the weather was fantastic. We took a ferry over to Raymond Island one day which was cool and walked along the boardwalk and saw koalas. I wasn't happy that my brother decided to play chicken with me without me agreeing and his shoulder hit my face and broke my glasses though, which was not fun, but didn't ruin the trip.
My family didn’t take vacations, so it was when I was 20 years old and I took my 14 year old sister on a trip to Disney World. Just the two of us was so fun!
Camping at Granite Creek with my parents and my uncle and cousins a week of swimming hiking and fun
There was one time when I was six. We went to Tennessee and we went to Dollywood. We got to stay in a very nice hotel. And we got to ride a bus to Dollywood just for people going to Dollywood. I had so much fun. And than we went to the native American reservation because my mother was half native American and wanted to go. We had so much fun and it was such a fun road trip. It was biggest road trip we ever took.
How great! Lots of fun, plus the amazing chance to visit and learn about your heritage.
We had zero extra cash as a kid, but my dad had a meeting at a local hotel and family was invited. It was a new experience for me and I was about ten. Staying at a three star hotel with a pool, riding a horse they brought in, and eating at a mediocre buffet was the most exciting and unique thing I had ever done. Absolutely LOVED it!
