November 2022 I resolved to break up with my emotionally abusive partner. I ended it in February, moved out in July. It's been 6 months no contact and it's glorious. I feel safe for the first time in nearly a decade, and have the peaceful home I've always wanted.
Last years resolution ... lose 10 kilos.... only 13 kilos to go.
To keep living.
Went to get some much needed help in January, and here I am. Lots of work and tears later, and I am feeling better than I have in years.
My bf and I have 3 daughters, the youngest two being very alike in many ways. With 3 kids I often call them by their siblings' names, especially the two youngest' names get mixed up a lot!
Now, I know it's a normal thing and it's just the brain messing with you (had a psychologist explain it to me many years ago). But it annoyed me sooooo much that I decided to have it be my resolution to call each kid by their correct name.
Because I focused so much on it for the first months I actually got better at it. And I think it somehow made my bf focus more on it as well. We still say the wrong names a lot but it's a whole lot less than before the resolution. Lol.
I didn't resolve, but hoped and prayed to not care so much about what other people think. I've been pretty anxious this year, but these last few weeks I haven't worried so much!
Oh, and spend less time online... yeah
My resolution for the past several years is to learn something new every day. Most days I do! :)
I resolved not to start arguments on the internet, but God made so many stupid people...
One year I resolved to floss every day. Never achieve perfection, but have gotten much better!
My other resolution: Start an interesting series.
Demon Slayer: Let me help with that
ended up reading the whole thing and watching too lol
I set a goal to read 52 books I've never read before and I actually read 60!
