What's your worst parenting fail story? I need proof that all parents have those moments.

When my daughter was 3 she went to a daycare in another part of town (the waiting lists here are years long and I took whichever place had space), so we had to leave quite early. There was a 2 block walk to the bus stop. Instead of risking missing the bus with a slow-walking preschooler (strollers were a big issue with bus drivers at the time, so I did away with it.) I carried her for the whole 2 blocks. One day, we got on the bus and I realized I forgot to put on her shoes. I can't remember if we got off the bus to go back and get them or if I just bought her new shoes on the way there. Likely the latter. Good thing it was summer.

Many years ago when my son was a preschooler, I interrupted his action figure game to give him his medication. He took it and continued with his game for a minute. Then stood up and confronted me saying he hadn’t wanted to take his pill and I made him do it.
I shrugged and said it’s just too late to change your mind now. That it was already in his tummy. At that very moment we discovered that my son was able to vomit at will.

Oh wow I have a few!! Mostly my mum!!!
She always tells my friends about my ‘faults’
How I was such an easy baby but hard teenager.
How my sister was so well behaved and I wasn’t.
Even to this day… “oh she is a single mum!!! She will never be anything “
“She doesn’t even know who Bub number 2’s father is!”
Funny, I do! But I’ll never tell her because I’m such a disappointment to the family in her eyes!
