Pluto is a fascinating place! It’s really really cold on its surface. It’s so cold that Nitrogen Snow falls there. It’s so cold that Nitrogen becomes solid! Pluto has cryovolcanos which are just volcanoes but instead of melted rocks, it spews out water! The lava of Pluto is water and some of its rocks are made of ice. Pluto has a heart shaped place called Tombaugh regio made of Nitrogen Snow and it’s got these patterns on it which are convection cells. It’s also a really young feature which means that Pluto is geologically active. Pluto has a lot of hydrocarbons on its surface and hydrocarbons are necessary for life. Pluto has a subsurface ocean just like Saturn's moon Enceladus and Jupiter’s moon Europa. Since Pluto is geologically active, this means that the subsurface ocean might be warm enough to host life! Pluto can host life! Pluto also has 5 moons, its moons are: Nix, Styx, Hydra, Kerberos and Charon. Charon is Pluto's largest moon. It’s so large that Pluto and Charon orbit each other. I mean a lot of bodies do this but the difference is that the barycentre of their orbit is outside Pluto
