Post something that made you happy, an accomplishment, something kind that someone did, animals, a quote, anything positive ☺️

I was laying in my bed and my cat just sat on my head
My grandma was a huge influence in my life. She loved puzzles. I once gave her a giant sudoku book for her birthday, which she enjoyed. She never finished it, and passed away at the amazing age of 102. I found that book among her possessions and brought it home. As I worked on it a little each day, I noticed that throughout the book, she had finished some of the puzzles. It brings me so much joy to see the work she did! It's as if we're working on those puzzles together.
(she is still making my day!❤️)
My grandma loved wordsearches and once she found out they were good for preventing/easing dementia she did some everyday. When she died we found lots of half completed books :) She also loved adult colouring pages and so the ones she didn't get to finish were given to myself and other family members who would appreciate finishing them.
Smile and say hello when passing strangers, hold doors open for people and if you can make someone laugh (store clerks, person standing in line ahead or behind, delivery driver etc.)
What may seem like a small gesture to you could really make someone's day! We never know what others are going through!💜
“When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.”
—Helen Keller
You are beautiful, you are amazing, you are good, you are loved. No matter who you are, who you love, how you look or what you believe. To me you are perfect.
Everyone needs to hear this, everyone deserves to hear this, I love it ❤️
I volunteered at an adoption event for our local animal shelter, and 77 animals were fostered or adopted in one day!
😮 that’s amazing, it makes me so happy to hear this ❤️ I’ve been wanting to volunteer at an animal shelter but I have to be 16+
When in doubt, wave or say good morning/afternoon/evening to someone you see when walking down the street. Odds are they'll say it back and smile!
If love is a state of mind let's all think a little harder ❤️
3 Middle Eastern men entered the elevator with me, 2 young and an elder one. The 2 young guys were a bit confused about the buttons so they kept pressing the wrong one in vain. Without a word, I proceeded to press the right one (There were only 2 buttons there sillies!). When the elevator moved, elder man told the young ones: "Women are friends, women are sisters, women are mamas, women are life!"
It seemed uncle wasn't super fluent in English but thank you uncle for washing away my prejudice-based fear 🥺
A very dear friend of mine is a math tutor for a living. She's been helping me with some difficult math for school. She knows that my family doesn't have much disposable income, so she's been tutoring me for free.
I am glad you have someone to help you, that’s there for you, they’re hard to find
How about the image of five primary school kids doing an egg and spoon race with the spoon in their mouths? I saw it today and it made me smile :)
I just want to say this to whoever needs to hear this-you are amazing, you are beautiful, you are loved, and I hope you’re doing okay today! If you ever need someone to talk to, I think you can contact me via my profile(not sure but I think so)
You’re an awesome person, and it will be okay in the end.
Hello Stranger!
If you feel unloved, you're wrong! Ha.
I love you so thats one person at least :)
Any small thing you do is an accomplishment. You got out of bed this morning and took out that trash? You are amazing and you have done something with your day! Any little thing is at least a thing.
Love, me!
Random piece of sharpie graffiti on a park I seen years ago that I keep thinking about. It was a few red hippy style flowers and a cloud shaped bubble around the words "Stay Wierd"
Not sure if this counts, but..
My Mom loved a quote by Teddy Roosevelt and she wrote it down for me on a slip of paper, in her own handwriting.
"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are."
It reminds me to live in the present and to focus on "now" so that I can actually start getting to the future I want.
I think there’s another one similar, “start where you are, use what you have, do what you can” i don’t remember who it’s from though
A few years ago an article in the local newspaper was about a young girl who had been sent to prison for commiting crimes due to her addiction.
At the women's prison they had a program where the prisoners worked with dogs who were considered to not be fit for adoption. Gave the dogs a second chance for a happy life.
The girl who was the subject of the article seemed to have a real way with the dogs. One had gone through other handlers with no success. As a last effort, the dog was assigned to her. He made an amazing turnaround and the two developed a strong bond.
She served her sentence, and reluctantly left the dog in the care of the program. Some months later, she was clean and sober with a job and a place of her own. It was then she returned and adopted the dog.
She said working with these damaged creatures gave her purpose and proved to herself she had worth.
And she quoted, "In my darkest hour I reached for a hand and found your paw".
Do something nice for an elderly person, like holding a door open for them or letting them go before you in a checkout line at the store.. Even if it's just starting up a conversation while you both wait in line. I've had some very fascinating conversations with seniors. They might not get around as well as they used to, and they might seem to be frail. But there is still a person in there that might have a lot to say.
When someone teats you unkindly it says more about their character than yours. Be kind.
Just want y'all to know that according to Chinese astrology, not matter what year you were born, there would always be certain months and years life keeps throwing sh*t at you, but everyone's life will always turn out fine in the end.
My son rolled over for the first time today! Babies are amazing, they learn and figure things out so fast, they are so cool 😎
Even if no one in real life accepts you, there are always the little pockets of internet where you find your people and be yourself. Including me and hopefully all of BP
I can't find where to put my answer, but this is what I was gonna say: when I was 9, I said this quote: To get to a goal, you must kick the ball to reach it.”. - Samia
I will try to always have one of these open from now on, I love it!
