Hey Pandas, Is There Anything You’re Particularly Looking Forward To This Year? (Closed)
2024 just started, and I'm sure everyone has something they're looking forward to. Whether that be meeting up with your loved ones or traveling to cool places, feel free to share it here.

Our son turning 18 - where we live that's when basic funding for adults with special needs kicks in. We'll be able to get him a new wheelchair, new orthotics, maybe start making our house more accessible, none of which are possible otherwise. We're so excited!
Graduating from high school. I don't like any of these people, the faculty at this school become more eye roll-inducing every day, and I'm very very ready to move on to the next part of my life already.
I have a few things!
- mid-kid turns 5 this year and she may have a birthday with her kindergarten-friends for the first time. The theme will either be Easter (it's in the Easter week) or princesses or flamingos.
- my bf got him and I tickets for several stand-up shows throughout the year
- I think big-kid will learn to read this year!
- I think lil-kid will start potty training this year and I expect that she'll learn as quickly as her sisters did.
- hopefully I will get a job.
- I hope to figure out how to function better with my perhaps-ADHD (on a waiting list for an appointment in 2026 to be examined for ADHD).
- I'm paying for the grave place of my grandparents (my dad's parents) and grandma's parents (dad's maternal grandparents) this year on and I am planning to decorate it for Easter and Christmas and I want to visit for my grandparents' birthdays as well. I feel like I am not the one protecting my ancestors. The rest of my family doesn't care about the grave place. But I do and I am now taking over.
- my bf and I will host a big birthday party since we both turn 40 this year. It's gonna be super fun!
- this will be the third year my bf and I goes to the 2 days long metal festival in Odense. This year we got some more friends to join us. And it will be SO AWESOME 🤘
There are probably more.... lol.
Retirement! Working since the Bicentennial celebration, I am so ready to become only responsible to my family (and society in general , more or less). Going to dive back into photography, wood/craft work, day trips and enjoying time with my wife. Been a long road, with a lot of good memories, but it is time to turn the page and start the new chapter!
Getting married :)
Finally getting my driver's license and my first car! I'm epileptic, so I had to wait until I was 20 before I was able to get a medical waiver to get my learner's permit.
I am first off all looking forwards to my moms birthday party this saturday. She will be 91, so the last couple of years we have been nervous, that it might be her last. Therefore we are doing a little extra though in Denmark we mostly celebrate the "round" ones as 50. 60. 70. etc, but her 90. we couldn't hold because of covid.
Going to a pride festival!!!!!!!
I'm planning on going with my partner and one of my best friends.
I get out of the military in April!
Cruise ship vacation. I'm turning 40 yr.old during the trip.
I’ll finally be old enough to be a CIT at the summer camp I go to! It’s my favorite place and I’m super excited to be able to help out this summer. I should be with the age group I just moved out of so it shouldn’t be that bad.
Omg... I haven't heard the term CIT in almost 40 years :-) best wishes to you !!!
March of 2024 is the month I wanna be a pretty femboy openly and like, even at school and in public.
lots of school events to participate in areas like drama and music :D I want to audition for all lol. I think thats it. oh and maybe recording more of my covers on my keyboard.
Going to day two of When We Were Young. That’ll be on October 20 of this year. I get to see my favorite band (My Chemical Romance) again, and I’m so psyched about it.
Two things.
One: I want this year to be better. I want to look at my friend and not be worried that someone they loved just died or that they're spiraling again. I want to spend time with them and know for the first time that they are okay. They deserve some good in the world. They need it. I would do anything to give that to them.
Two: I have friends at my new church this year so I'm going to find ways to actually talk to them.
Three: My parents think I'm too young to apply for college, but I'm not waiting another two+ years to "Finish highschool" just because my parents are suddenly afraid of dual enrollment. No. I finished 8th and 9th grade this year and next year I'll finish the rest of 'em. I am not sitting around and waiting until I'm almost 17. I have vet school to go to, and I have the chance to graduate by 21 and by God I'm going to take it. I've been working for this my entire life. They need to be proud of me. They have to be.
Wow! I'm proud of you even if they aren't, that's impressive!
I am looking forward december 31 2024. Because then the year will be at it's end.
IM GOING TO ERAS TOUR AAA ALSO THE NEW PJO BOOK COMES OUT IN SUMMER
Hoping for the Gods to appear and start cleaning up their mess.
I like the song by Blue Öyster Cult "The Vigil" bc I want some super smart aliens to come down and just fix everything for us and teach us how to live properly n the silly lil secrets the universe holds
This one is a good/bad thing. I am finally getting to see the doctor about a problem I've has for 4 years. It recently got WAY worse. This problem used to affect me maybe once every month, and now it happens every day. The part I'm not looking forward to is this will probably lead to a surgery.
I get to do indoor drumline this year, it's been fun so far and it has just started. I can't wait for my synth to be fully set up so I can actually play my full part.
Ready for my AP English class, I love English so I'm looking forward to a potentially challenging class.
