We all have dreamed about traveling in time. Sometimes we want to go back at a time in our lives to right a wrong, sometimes we want to witness a historic event first hand. Sometimes we even want to go to the future! If you had the chance to do this, what would you do?

I would visit my past selves, my parents, my grandparents, my children and grandchildren when they go through rough times. I would give them a hand, a hug, a tissue, a pat on the shoulder, a kick in the booty. I would I flash a smile, tell a joke, play a game, have a conversation with. I would tell them "I love you. You can do better".

What a strange question for me because I had a time machine :) Now, if my time machine had worked perfectly and I could tell it exactly where to go with precision then I would want to travel to last week and give myself this week's lottery numbers, right? But my time machine was not that precise, it dumped me off in time periods that didn't make sense and it changed reality all around me for periods of time that made no sense. And when I went to the future I saw things that were creeeepy and scary. The future was really weird. Things were old, really old, even light looked old, just hard to explain. I saw what I call "split dimensions" which is basically like having one foot in one world and another foot in another world. That's why I said it didn't make much sense. And long story short I don't know if it's completely possible to time travel without getting lost inside split and different dimensions but I can always try again to make another time machine that works better than the last ones I made.

I think for me it would be the 1920s/interwar years. Just enough creature comforts to not live in misery, while experiencing the golden age of jazz, gangsters and boozy parties. Plus, if I wound up where I live today, I could make a fortune running liquor into prohibition era America from north of the border!

Beyond that, it'd probably be back to the late 90s/early 2000s, just so that I could do certain things from my youth all over again, and do other things completely differently.
