My mother's boyfriend sent her a necklace and earrings from Korea before he died there. After she passed away, they came to me. Even though I never wore them, I lost one of the earrings somewhere in my house. It's been too long now, but I would love to find that earring.

I like to think the road to heaven is lined with all the stuff I've lost and if that's the case I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for spare key fobs and a myriad of single earrings! It will be like meeting old friends! 🥳

This may be trivial, but it bothers me, lol. I want to know what tf happened to a rubber orca whale I had when I was six. Last time I remember seeing it was in the back of our car under the driver's seat of a white-blue ford. Just bothers me it disappeared off my childhood earth. Don't think someone would just chuck it...?

Breaks my heart when you see a stuffed animal that is clearly loved and lost.

Many answers here are stories about beloved plush toys. Mine is too.

Dear family friends gave me a pair of fuzzy tiger-striped slippers for Chrismakka that came with a little plush tiger with plastic green eyes. It became my constant companion. One year, we took a vacation to the desert and stopped early in the morning (before sunrise) at a diner. Green Eyes must have fallen out of the car, because when we got to the hotel, he was nowhere to be found.
I cry to this day when I think of my poor little Green Eyes laying abandoned on a dusty dirty parking lot in the middle of the desert.

I got many other plush toys in my toddler years, but none that could possibly replace Green Eyes. He was my Velveteen Rabbit (a charming children's book about loss and faith and friendship and growing up).

My Aunty who spent a lot of time living in Egypt and Bahrain gave me an ubshabti doll, real one, probably from no one of any fame or interests tomb (by todays perspectives). When I moved out of home for the first time it just vanished, I love ancient Egypt and it was one of my fave and first artefacts. But I still have the second gift she gave me with it, a very old kingdom era scroll carrier that you’d attach to a camels belt strap 😝 so cute, even if the precious stones were pryed out before I got it.

My iPod. I just lost it a week or two ago and it's really annoying that I can't find it.

When I was lie, two, I threw away my favorite plushie?? Just decided I was too grown up for it or something? This was forever ago, but I wish I still had it... if I did it would probably be another emotional support item, other than the one I currently have so I wouldn’t be so absolutely terrified of losing it

The 20 dollar bill that I hid in my room years ago. I put it in a new hiding place. Can't think for the life of me where that new hiding place is or was. I've scoured the room. But no go. Every time I clean my bedroom I hope it turns up. It hasn't. I don't hid money anymore.

My passion for things I used to do as a kid. Such as, just go outside and play in the sprinklers or something like that. But with all the judgement speculating these days I’m too scared to. Or having daddy-daughter days with my dad all day, bole riding, getting lunch together, reading, and just having fun. I just miss the old days and I hate the world we live in now
