I’m genderfluid and I’m planning to come out soon.

I want to think of a new (nongendered, ie. alex, Taylor, etc.) name, but I want it to either start or end with “El” bc that’s what my best friend calls me (short for Eleanor)

I’m out to my two best friends and the girl who was my best friend for 12 years but she was very transphobic. I’m scared to come out to other people, I don’t want judgement, bullying, etc.

Sorry if this is too weird or personal or anything, but I can’t think of names and I need some motivation/reassurance.

Well you could try Sam (like Samantha, Samuel depending on your gender). I wish you the best of luck with your coming out, it’s always good to test the waters before coming out. Try and ask the person you are coming out to their opinion on what identity you will come out as. If their reaction is positive, that’s great. You can now successfully come out to them when you’re ready. If their reaction is negative, it will be better to wait. Best of luck, hope your coming out goes well

Rae/Ray is a pretty neutral name but also something like Charlie could work changing from Charlotte/Charles depending on how you're feeling. Good luck finding a name that suits you.

I might suggest the names Echo or Eden, they seem nice. But I'm also genderfluid with a very feminine name (Annalina) so I understand the struggle.

Elison. Traditionally a male name, but sounds like Alison a female name, and unusual in this day and age.

I like Ellis.
There‘s a famous writer of children‘s books from my hometown called Elisabeth „Ellis“ Kaut but internationally it‘s probably more common as a male name.

I'd suggest Alex, Dylan, Ash, or Erin.

My personal favorite is Max but it's kind of masculine appearing though

Elijah/Eliza? I know a few genderlfuid people with multiple names and having two that sound very similar but are different genders might be useful. Good luck coming out!
