I’ve recently had this big debate of wondering if everyone should have their seat back so that everyone is more comfortable and I’m curious what y’all think of this.

Nope, thats what its there for. Its not your problem if someone is inconvenienced by you using the seat recliner that was provided.

My answer is "it depends". The seat that I paid for IS made to recline but I'm always cognizant of the person behind me as to how badly it would affect their flight too. If they are tall, huge, preggers or whatever, I ask and I've never been told "NO!" and I let them know that if something changes to tell me and then we both do what we gotta do and relax. Once but only once I said it loud enough that the person in front of me heard me and asked me the same thing. So it was a win-win.😁

I think it depends on how far back it is. Don't smush them of course, but if it is only a little bit back then that should be fine.

I personally think it's impolite because the seat is in your lap and then it's harder to do work or to use the tray table.

It depends on how far back, to be fair.

Of course not. The seat is specifically designed to recline, and you don't get a discount for not using that feature. Let's be real here, the seats only recline about one inch anyway, so it's not like it's some massive inconvenience to the person behind you.
