Do you have a weird fascination for a specific thing and you don't know exactly why? (Pens, small tools, etc.) And as a result, you have a lot of them!

#1

I'm asking you yours.....might as well tell you mine! I have 3...
Zip ties (all sizes)!
Safety pins!
Itty bitty tools! (Tiny tools that are actually useable)

I don't know why but I love them. (I literally keep a package of small zip ties in my purse. And you wouldn't believe how many times they've came in handy!)

As a child ( until i was 14) i was obsessed with business cards.i would always take one whenever i saw them. I still do when they're pretty or i like the design. I have a whole box of them in my room.

I absolutely adore fancy pens too. I have about 30 of them right now, some with plushies on top, other food shaped, or with some sort of figurine. I also have 300+ metallic or glitter gel pens.

I wish I could have those pens but they mostly come in blue ink and my school requires black ink :(

An odd combination but all seemingly related

Somehow they are more terrifying than horror movies.

I don't know if this really counts but I've always had an odd fascination for maritime disasters. Titanic, Edmund Fitgerald and other make-up the majority of my known facts

I have a bizarre obsession with any disturbing things that happened in history or disturbing facts, I’m very morbid, I even make morbid jokes about my own mortality, I think I am going to die soon, maybe I will cause my own death, my fascination with morbid things makes me a weirdo, but I’m fine with it. Perhaps I will cause my death, but how? Maybe I should just hang myself?

I have no idea why I love reading about gruesome topics. Human sacrifices, plague pandemics, torture/execution techniques etc... it definitely makes random trivia exchanges with other people interesting. There's this kind of strange horror associated with this stuff... you get stuck in this weird paralysis where you want to close the book/tab but you also want to know more.

My odd fascination is with death, it doesn’t make me sad, it makes me curious, and it’s one thing that is very much a mystery of our existence.

Jim Morrison was fascinated by death and madness - mostly death, and these themes are present in many Doors songs, and Jim’s spoken word poetry. Good dark stuff and great music, too

Maybe try taking a break. Just for 5 minutes try meditating until you can only focus on what you’re meditating on. Maybe then you’ll feel a bit more calm for a while. It’s just a temporary solution that may help you when you need it. I believe in you, you’re doing just fine. I’m sure that by the end, you’ll as close as possible to the version you want yourself to be. Keep going, stay strong <3

One of my most favorite things is anything dragon related. I have multiple dragon figures, dragon dolls, dragon drawings, etc. I've always loved dragons, but my love for them became stronger when a friend of mine introduced me to Wings Of Fire a few years ago

Straight sticks!! The more like a wizard staff, the better. They’re so fun to pretend like they’re wands or swords or staves. I’m always on the lookout for a good stick.

I had a science fest at school the other week and we were given these pointers to point at diagrams and explain about them. I spent the entire time practising “wingardium leviosa” XD

I’m really fascinated with astronomy and my favourite topics of interest in astronomy are: blackholes, white dwarf+star binaries, neutron stars, exoplanets (my personal favourite one is J1407b), the heat death etc. It’s so interesting to learn more about them for me. Another thing I’m really fascinated with is sticker making. I’ve made several stickers of my OCs which my friends really love so on Monday, I’ll take some stickers and give out a few samples and maybe sell some of them too.

I wouldn’t say a fascination I’d say I buy them and idk why. FUNKO pops. I love to buy them and I still don’t kno why. I often ask myself that question and don’t have an answer lol. Like I buy comics to read them, games to play them, but FUNKO pops I just stare at em. But I still want to buy em lol.

Me too, my favorite thing to learn about is the iron curtain and cold war era history. You should check out some of Ruta Sepetys books. My favorites are Fountains of Silence and I Must Betray which are both about authoritarian governments.

Sports and Music History. I love reading all the stories i can about musicians from the 1960’s and 70’s. I will start blogging about my faves in the near future.

Lately been reading up on 1950’s NFL teams, players, and coaches, including one old coach whose grandson was in The Grateful Dead

Okay so this isnt a small thing but since all organisms share the same 20 amino acids and the same types of nitrogenous bases any organism can make and protein for example a plant could make a cow protein if it had the right genes. So scientists can transplant jellyfish genes into animals and they will glow. They have done it with pigs, kittens, monkeys, rats and as far as they can tell it has very little adverse effects. Oh and those GloFish u see at pet stores? Yup they have jellyfish bioluminescence genes in them. Its so cool! Science is fascinating. Also imagine going to a club and ur just glowing lol that would be sick.
