So sorry for posting again... how do I know if I have a crush on someone. For context: one of my friends, we'll call her E, is in a group that is hosting a trackathon thingy where you run a lot and get paid for a fundraiser helping an animal shelter thats going bankrupt. I do not like running, but my maybe-crush might go and im not sure if I'm excited about it? Idk if im excited about seeing him or just about seeing E who I haven't seen in a really long time. For more context he knows that I had a crush on him a couple years ago when I was the cringiest person alive and honestly I dont know if its just because "oh your first love never leaves you" (im thirteen though so... love? prolly not.). Also he was sending me reels a lot and stopped after I never sent any to him and idk it feels weird because I kinda worked checking my instagram into my routine at that point. I don't think I need another person in my life but idkāœØāœØ

Thank you for attending my ted talk and rant again im soooo sorry for posting so much idk if this is even within the bounds of one question

I do hope im not oversharing

ty xx

How does she/they or he/they pronouns work? like if someone had they/them pronouns I would say "They did that... I went with them to Starbucks", but for a person with she/they pronouns how would I use it? I really want to know bc I dont wanna accidentally use someones pronouns wrong. Thanks!

Honestly, your best bet is to just ask the individual person. I, for instance, really don't care what pronouns people use for me, and it doesn't matter if they use one set of pronouns, or alternate between a variety, but it can be different for others.

Okay. Got a question. When writing a book you will come across something you need to research. You may have a scientist as a character say, both May need to do look into the science to make your character credible. Whatever the subject matter, research should be more than reading up on wikipedia. Do you find a specialist book on the topic? How do you know that the book you have picked up is correct? Do you read several books on the subject? Is their a knack to doing research? A methodology to follow?

Oh my gosh are you going to write a book?? Okay so my methodology is to start with my common knowledge. I search it up and cross check with Wikipedia to see if itā€™s true. I have a friend whoā€™s been a camper and a scout person for several years, so I ask her nature questionsā€”itā€™s good to have a ā€œhands onā€ experienced source, as the internet might not be realistic. For you it might be a tad more difficult, but I tend to read books in my genre that Iā€™m writing and see how much THOSE authors talked about the things Iā€™m worrying about. Often youā€™ll find that you donā€™t know if the things they write are accurate, so actually Wikipedia is a good starting point that you can also stop at. However, when I have to look up historical and scientific points, I try to find a reputable source such as Britannica and read the article. You can ask chatgpt to summarize if you want. All in all, itā€™s not that hard! A more important point imo is to not OVERLY explain history or science. Good luck!

How does one post things here?? Like I did it before, but I have no idea how. Can someone tell me, please?

Also, BP let's me upvote comments/posts, but for some reason, whatever I downvote resets, and doesn't stick. Anyone know why?
