**Did I mess up here? I fed a cat at our school, the story.**
So last week, a mysterious cat showed up at our high school. We named him Oreo. We also found out he slept at school. He was very friendly, routinely walking into my class and falling asleep on my lap. I kept having to carry him out, which pissed off the teachers. Anyway, I fed this cat some biltong (think beef jerky vibes) and he ate it up super quickly. he also harassed other students for food all the time, so they ended up hating him for some reason. So anyway, the school sends us all an email to stop feeding him, otherwise he will stay and distract from schoolwork.
yeah, I didn’t stop feeding him. Oops! /s I just had a weird feeling, like he REALLY needed some food. I became the subject of everyone’s hatred for feeding this cat, which sucked.
So this cat is the best, friendliest, scratch-lovingist good boi and then he’s GONE! Turns out the school sent him to a shelter, only to find out he’s been missing for 2 weeks, and I was supplying the only food and water he got.
**ANYWAY was I the bad guy for feeding this cat BEFORE I knew he was a stray? **

Your heart was in the right place to feed that cat, and that doesn’t make you the bad guy, it makes you a good guy, with a good heart. You are not a bad guy, you are a good guy.
A) You likely kept him alive until he could get back home.
B) Not all kitties have someone looking for them, you were helping the best you could.
C) Be careful in your caring. I made the mistake of leaving food out for strays living rough at my workplace, which attracted a family of skunks. Management NOT pleased.
