I (14f) have been "out" to my parents for three months after they looked through my phone and found out about my girlfriend. They said I should have told them about it. What would they have even done? I wasn't ready and I'm still not, but regardless, they know. My mom doesn't think I'm really bi and just pretending because it's a "fad".
I had come out to my gay uncle (my mom's brother) a few weeks before my parents found out, and he was obviously very excited to have someone in the family who is also gay. I knew I could trust him not to tell anyone but my mom was furious when she found out I had told my uncle first. I never got to have a coming out moment. It was all forced.
AITA for hiding it from my parents?

No, you're not. I mean, it's about your life, so you get to choose. And your fears were legitimate. I mean, the number of parents who kick out their LGBTQIA+ kids... but let's not make this depressing. And besides, it makes being LGBTQIA+ weird if you have to do a big "coming out" thing. Straight people don't need to "come out", neither do you or anyone else. NTA. Also, you probably should have posted this on Reddit and added more details, but I can still tell you're not in the wrong.
You don't have to come out to anybody, Nobody does If you didn't want to tell them you didn't have to. Besides what were you're parents doing snooping anyway.
that's normal for my parents to do though. like even before i got a phone they would read my google hangouts messages with my friends, and my emails.
