Canadian here. It took me a long time to work up the courage to come out. The gist of the conversation was ‘my friends are gay and so am I’. Parents were super supportive and basically just acted like it was completely normal, which was awesome.
I told my already supportive mom, but it took about an hour to finally actually say the words.
“I’m not stupid, me and your dad already knew that”
O h 😀
Already posted but the first time I realized I was gay was during band class with a sub (which means, we didn't do anything).I was hiding in a closet to try and scare people and at the end of class when I came out, I said to myself "oh, I'm gay ¯_(ツ)_/¯" so um I came out of the closet to myself when ACTUALLY COMING OUT OF A CLOSET. I'm such a dork
My was taking a shower, walked in and said I'm bi and left
Was watching a show that had a transgender couple and she started asking questions and I used myself for some examples. Then I went out and bought a shirt from the pride section of Target the next day with her.
Still haven't come out to the rest of the family mostly though, probably won't for a while though.
Told my mom "I think I'm bi."
She told me she loved me no matter what
Oof once I came out to one of my best friends who was the only straight person in my friend group. We were hanging out when I found a random YouTube video which was interesting facts about Putin. I decided to watch it and tell other people about it cuz we were looking for bad things. When it said he was homophobic, the straight friend you know it’s illegal to be gay in Russia. Without missing a beat, I said, “ Then I wouldn’t survive a day in Russia. All my gay friends that already knew just burst out laughing, including me, and the friend literally said wait what. It was hilarious and will always be the best way. Btw the friend is an ally so nothing bad happened after that.
