Siren turned to look out from the trees. He watched as a gray car slowly drove down the gravel road that ran by the forest and turn away. Siren lowered his head and walked deeper into the forest. Tears fell down his face in pain from when they shot at him. He wasn't even supposed to show pain, but, since he was alone, he decided to finally show it. He fell to the ground on his knees and covered his face with his hands. " I miss you, Anita," Siren whispered. "You were the only one who loved me, who never saw me as an evil menacing creature that killed for fun." He began to cry harder. "I don't want to hurt them!" Siren looked at one of the flowers in front of him and looked away again. "I don't want to be evil. I don't want to hurt them, even though they hurt me..." He ran his fingers over the huge cut that ran over the side of his face and winced. Now that he had realized it, he looked terrifying. He really did look like a monster. Siren began to cry again. " I'm sorry," He said softly. "I really don't mean to hurt anyone."
Siren's head then snapped up as he heard a twig snap loudly and a quiet giggle came from behind him. He quickly stood up and ran to the other side of the trees to hide. but all that came out, was a little girl, playing with something in her hands. Siren tried to see, but he can't see very well, so he still couldn't tell what the little girl was holding. "The girl picked up a stick on the ground and pretended that it was supposedly an airplane and made vrooming noises with it. Siren cocked his head and silently watched her, but without realizing it, there was no tree branch underneath his hand! He fell forwards right in front of the little girl and quickly scrambled up and behind the tree again. oh shoot oh shoot oh shoot oh shoot, Siren thought silently
The little girl got scared for a split second before slowly getting up again and began talking (seemingly) to Siren. "Who are you?" She whispered. "Why are you out here all alone?" Siren slowly peeked out from behind the tree and stared at her with worried eyes. "It's okay," The girl said. "You don't have to be afraid." She held out her hand, as though to greet him. "My name's Sasha, what's yours?" Siren blinked at her. He couldn't speak. He didn't have a mouth, and he was still worried that she was a trick. No one ever talked to Siren. No one came up to him and tell him their name. The little girl smiled with sympathy. "It's okay, I won't hurt you! I have heard stories about you, but, they seem a bit odd..." Siren then noticed that her arm was still out, and slowly reached out his hand and poked her hand with his finger. The girl laughed with delight, and if Siren had a mouth, he would have been smiling. He liked her laugh. It wasn't rude or haughty like all the other laughs he's heard. This laugh was a true laugh. Siren crawled out all the way from behind the trees and sat down. It had been years since ANYONE had like him. Now, he would what love was again.
Until he would get captured and tortured to kill things twelve years later.
