I’m Yuichi Yokota, a professional Japanese photographer from Tokyo, Japan.
Tokyo saw its heaviest snow in 4 years on Jan 22, 2018, with authorities urging evening commuters to hurry home and prompting those behind the wheel to brace for traffic disruptions.
I captured the sceneries of that snowy day. I visited some famous spots in Tokyo: Shibuya, Shinjuku, Asakusa (Senso-Ji Temple) and Tokyo Station.

Nice photos but I wouldn't call that snow "heavy." I live in Fukui (on the other coast) and we got about 2 meters over the last week, that's heavy! Tokyo just got "snow."
Up to this very moment it never occurred to me that you can use an umbrella during snowing. Beautiful pictures by the way!
Some good photo's there. I sooooo need to go to Japan. My work colleague has been for the Moto GP and stayed in Tokyo and said it was amazing!! Anyone want to fund me to get a ticket for me and my family???? haha
Love Tokyo! It looks amazing in any season but almost fairytale-like in the snow :)
u made me feel to go there, thanks for those beautiful capturing.
You made the everyday urban landscape look quite magical. Love the pictures!
Very nice pictures! Is there a reason almost all of the umbrellas are white, red or blue? In the US, if we have a solid-colored one it is usually black.
Most of them are clear so people can be observant and courteous to other pedestrians.
