I hung 150 handwritten “hearts of hope” on the entrance to my local park in aid of the World Mental Health Day and mental health awareness.
Each heart has a message to anyone struggling with their mental illness. The hearts are removable so that after reading the notes, people could take a couple that resonate with them.
In a short space of time, as people stopped and read the hearts, they were encouraged to talk about mental health. It was great to spectate and made me really hopeful that the hearts may actually have an impact.
