There are some things that words are not able to describe, I’m afraid…
Popular definition to loneliness can be found everywhere as a complex and usually unpleasant emotional response to isolation or lack of companionship. Typically includes anxious feelings about a lack of connectedness or communality with other beings. In the other hand, sometimes, it is quite necessary to be left on your own and to do things by yourself.
Although all these words give us a general understanding on the subject, I’m afraid that there are some things that words are not able to describe…
“The Lonely Series” is an on-going photography project which incredibly portrays loneliness from the eyes of a York based conceptual photographer, Toby Hone, 24.
In his words, his work aims to explain what he thinks about the meaning loneliness – “I think being able to do things by yourself can be a sign of strength. Sometimes it is a bad thing, being isolated from everything and everyone. So I try to capture different perspectives in different images.”
Toby just started working on a 365 Days project with an Iphone and he is always creating thoughtful images. All worthy checking out on his Flickr and Facebook.
