“I Wrote A Song Using Only Hate Comments:” Woman Trolls Haters With A Hilariously Good Song
After 10 years of being on YouTube, Madilyn Bailey has accumulated an impressive 7 million subscriber base. Her videos have been viewed nearly 1 billion times, making the 27-year-old one of the most popular singer-songwriters on the platform. However, throughout this time, Madilyn has also received a lot of hate.
Fueled by jealousy and contempt, random jerks are trying to discredit, devalue, and downplay the performer and her accomplishments. And these pitiful folks aren’t holding anything back. Their hurtful comments attack everything from Madilyn’s looks to her abilities. Her whole being.

But the YouTuber doesn’t let them get her down. On the contrary. She’s even making fun of the troll culture. And she’s doing it through the thing she loves most. Music. Madilyn has created a few songs using only the negative comments she’s received and even though it’s baffling to hear how cruel some people are, it’s also nice to know that they aren’t winning against the charismatic singer.

Most of us have probably run into “critics” bashing our life, work, and relationship choices. So how do we deal with it? Let’s look for answers in a brilliant piece by the New York Times bestselling author, James Clear. And believe me, he’s quite the expert in the field. Clear said there’s someone always whining about how his articles are totally worthless every month. “At least those people commented on the actual article. Hate mail gets even better when people start ignoring your work entirely and make judgments about you as a person instead,” he wrote.
“It doesn’t matter what you do, there will always be someone who finds fault in it.”
According to him, if you focus on criticism and negativity thrown at you by difficult people, you’ll run right into it. “You’ll get blocked by negative emotions, anger, and self-doubt. Your mind will go where your attention is focused. Criticism and negativity don’t prevent you from reaching the finish line, but they can certainly distract you from it.”
Clear said the best option to overcome it is by ignoring it altogether. “If you focus on the road in front of you and on moving forward, then you can safely speed past the walls and barriers that are nearby,” he added. “When someone dishes out a negative comment, use that as a signal to recommit to your work and to refocus on the road ahead of you. Some people are determined to take things personally and tear down the work of others.”
Life’s too short to worry about pleasing everyone. Especially all the toxic trolls.
And it’s not the first time she did it!
People love the way Madilyn is dealing with her haters
I'm not a fan of people singing covers and put it on YouTube. That being said, it doesn't give me or anybody the right to insult her on her YouTube page. You don't like it, don't watch it and move on. YouTube is big enough for you not to watch a single video of her in your lifetime. I never get why people have to be like this.
This is genius. I grew up being taught that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. And yet we now live in a world where narcissistic armchair commentators, devoid of any discernible talent, feel they have a right to hurl vile abuse at complete strangers. People can express dislike without being cruel and vicious. So to have the strength to respond like this is commendable. And, she sounds good doing it!!
She wrote a song using positive comments and there's a comment very much like your second sentence in the song!
Load More Replies...I watch this girl on YouTube and she is good at singing the people that write the hate comments are probably jealous and want to see how good it is.
