J.K. Rowling never said that! How Hermione looks is open for INTERPRETATION. Her looks are how people want to see her based on an individual basis. If you want to imagine Emma Watson as Hermione, then go ahead. I understand. I always imagine Emma as Hermione personally. The point is, don't judge people for how they want to see their fictional characters. It's a matter of opinion, not fact.

Well that's a load of b******t. J.K. Rowling does not state that Hermione is white, but she does describe here skin in several occasions and she describes it as if Hermione was very light skinned. This pathetic and forced attempt to be inclusive and diverse is getting very annoying. There is nothing wrong with being black or white for that matter so why don't we stop paying so much attention to skin colour.

Harry had green eyes. Not many black people have green eyes. And Lily Potter is specifically stated to have red hair. Harry is white. Hermione is a special case because she actually wasn't ever physically described beyond having frizzy brown hair and buck-teeth (although most black people have black hair rather than brown, so at best, Hermione is likely half black).

In the books they hint towards Harry and Hermione being at least partially white.

Kiki, I'm black and have hazel green eyes. Black people have a variation of eye color just like everyone else. My hair is brown with blond and red in it. My brothers hair lightens to red in the sun. There is a whole tribe if blacks in Africa with blue eyes and blonde hair and YES it is being rascist.
