Sometimes a panda mother won't have the skills the take care of her young, so people have to step in, another reason pandas are dying out... I mean the panda mothers, not the people

Great work if you can get it, but it also means you don't ever get even one day off.

Okay, break this down. That's roughly what a minimum wage worker gets, if they work 8 hours a day. And of course there are free meals/transit/and housing...panda nannies don't get any time off! None of these posts talk about the work...how many hours, what kind of conditions, etc. And I've seen videos of these nannies repeating the same task over and over and OVER again because the curious little pandas undo things. Trying to sweep? Hope you have 2 hours. So...sounds great. But it's not. Not really.

They go to their mothers, but they are watched heavily by the staff because panda moms arent the best, esp first-time moms. Or if the mom has 2 cubs, she only pays attention to one.

Scientific tests also showed that they stress out when separated. They believe that by reducing the stress they will raise their milk yield. But considering cows are herd animals, this isn't really surprising.

I wonder how they would know that? So in their world, while swimming past one another, one could be a Phil and another a Jack? It would be like "Hey Phil, I found a warm spot over here, check it out.

Many prisons in the US have a program that has select inmates train shelter dogs, some for specific tasks such as disability service dogs. Marked improvement in inmate behavior and outlook have been noted in these programs and, of course, it improves the lives of the dogs involved.

Greyhounds As Pets NSW have a similar program at a women's correctional facility here in Sydney. The inmates help prepare ex-racing greys for life as a pet, teaching them things like how to go up & down stairs, basic obedience, etc. It's great for the dogs, as well as the inmates who can even earn a government-recognised certificate. (Our foster grey participated in this!) :)
