Woman Overheard The Craziest Conversation Of A Guy Revealing To His Girlfriend His 12-Year-Old Son
Honesty is the cornerstone of every relationship. And it doesn’t matter if the person in question is your SO or your plumber. Your love life and your bath are better off when you don’t keep secrets about your pipes. This guy, however, thought it would be better to wait before telling his girlfriend about his secret child. Casually slipping it in way later proved to be seriously damaging.
“I was sitting at the counter of a busy restaurant/bar when I heard this conversation, [and it] was not a private one,” author Maria Dahvana Headley told Bored Panda. “It was loud, and a bunch of other people heard it right along with me. There was a lot of head-shaking going on as the restaurant listened to this guy blare his imaginary truth.” It captivated her so much, Maria live-tweeted the entire exchange.
“This conversation took place in June of 2017, before the Weinstein revelations, before #MeToo gained traction – and it was a tremendously clear example of everything we’ve been talking about ever since – gaslighting and what it looks like in real time.” Maria claims that was the reason why she put it up. “Not to make fun of this guy, but to show people what it actually looks like when someone gaslights you. We can all read about what gaslighting is, but when it’s happening to you, often you don’t know what’s going on.”
“This is why I talk about things like this in public – I want victims to realize that they are not the ones at fault in scenarios like this one, and to depart these situations when they see the warning signs – lying, refusal to acknowledge wrongdoing, blaming the person they are lying to for judging them.”
So as far as overheard conversations go, this one certainly is among the most interesting ones. Scroll down to read how everything unfolded!

Share on FacebookThe hypocrisy on this comments here is hilarious. If this was about a famous person, published by some magazine, the very same people criticizing her would be posting their real opinions, lol. There's no invasion of privacy, the couple cannot be identified. Also, having a conversation at a public place, at a volume other people can hear, it's not a private one. And everyone is missing the bigger picture: He is an a*****e, and made the woman feel bad and guilty thanks to sexism. That's just a story to illustrate something that happens on a daily basis...
I don't care about any celebrity's personal life, not any more than anybody else's.

So the fact that the guy is basically a a*****e is completely ignored. How a woman s basically walking into a toxic relationship is irrelevant but privacy.. oh my god.. privacy is at stake. No one even knows the name of the guy or girl. World full of stupids.
Thank you! Another fatherless child, hurting and FAR more likely than kids with two involved parents to wind up dropping out of school, going to jail, doing drugs, and yes....shooting up a school....is suffering, likely in poverty, and people are worried about tweets??? Children get hurt by the actions of those who created them......always, it is kids who suffer. Kudos to the unnamed woman for calling out a douchebag .
Load More Replies...I'm not quite sure the conversation between the couple was ment for posting. I sure would be livid if some jerk posted my conversations without my consent...
there's no way to identify this couple. So there's no problem. This was to discuss a very bigger issue. So many men or sexist women butthurt, is baffling.

No identifying details about the couple were shared. Their privacy has not been violated. They are completely anonymous.
"He's explaining that his kid doesn't need a dad". It's the most heartless thing you could say...
Yep, younger me dealt with such an a*s. That if I showed any anger or called him out on something would claim I was the one being a bad romantic partner. Younger me didn't end it MANY times when I should have. Older me takes much less s**t.
I get pretty annoyed when women make blanket statements about "all" women being raised as pleasers. I'm a woman and I wasn't raised that way, at all.
I try to be understanding when people say that because I'm sure that was many women's experience. But it is a bit hard for me to relate to as well. I was raised to be polite and considerate, but so were my brothers, to the same degree as me. I don't consider that the same thing.
