Meet Kitzia the cat who always seems to be in a mood and is competing for the late beloved Grumpy Cat’s throne. Kitzia, whose name means ‘kitty,’ has over 44.9k followers on Instagram and looks as grumpy as grumpy felines can be.
Kitzia lives in Florida together with her hooman, Viktoriia Otdielnova. Originally from Ukraine, Viktoriia has been happily living in the United States for the past 6 years. She’s a professional photographer by trade, so it’s no surprise that her pics of Kitzia have caught a lot of people’s attention.

Social media users are having a lot of fun looking at Kitzia’s photos. Some think that the photos are priceless while others joked that the cat has a resting [ahem] female dog face. (No, the cat/dog irony isn’t lost on us.)
However, that’s just how Kitzia looks and there’s nothing she can do about it. In reality, she’s a sweet and lovely catto who loves playing with her owner. But just like any other pet, she also sometimes throws temper tantrums and they work perfectly with her permanent scowl.
Viktoriia created an Instagram account for her cat just over two years ago in April 2018. The very first photo of Kitzia has 821 likes and her owner writes that even though the cat looks weird, she’s very friendly.
Kitzia just needs a human to sit on her lap while she plans the end of civilisation as we know it.
Kitzia’s owner has been interested in photography since she was a child and she’s very passionate about it. For Viktoriia, photography has always been more than ‘just a job’ or ‘just a hobby’—it’s her calling.
“It brings me so much joy creating memories that last forever. Photography is a part of me, of who I am,” Viktoriia writes on her website.
“It is my endless source of energy,” she added. With a passionate and energetic owner like Viktoriia, it’s no wonder that Kitzia’s friendly and fun, despite what her resting face might look like.
I see you... you will not get away now... I own you, I eat you, you will be gone!
Rocky Balboa expression lol "Adrian!" Even has Sylvester Stallone lip curl and everything lol that or Mafia kitty lol "yo Vinny kitty"
the face that says hey go look in your dinner pot i added a litttle extra somthing to it
There's a "V" right on the forehead! Would have been perfect for a name. But Kitzia is a beautiful name, too.
"Let me see you try and look this good first thing in the morning!"
More like... Ready to rule the world cat, with her nefarious plans. Myeoooooooowhawhawhawhawhawhaaaaaw ♡
Load More Replies...I wonder if the vet has isolated any genetic abnormalities in this kitty. Her eyes are supersized and the jaw is odd too. Still who cares just so long she is having a good life.
Maybe the facial deformity is not genetic, just a birth defect. You can see in the milk pics that she has some difficulty drinking normally and it splashes everywhere. But she has beautiful green eyes and seems to behave like a normal cat.

Cat is toothless or nearly toothless. this pushes her lower jaw upwards giving her the "scowl. Also why she has tongue blends. (Not All tongue blends are from teeth loss but many are or from shortened lower jaw). Also, not all "grouchy" looking cats are missing teeth. Sometimes it is breed gives it the look, shorter lower jaw, even fur coloring can give illusion. But as more cats get rescued, there will be more elderly cats with physical issues, one being poor teeth. So more "grouchy cats" may be seen. But that's OK. Adopt - don't shop.
I'm hoping that when they make the inevitable film they can get Andy Serkis to do her voice ;-)
He is very beautiful though. His chin makes him look like an old man with his bottom denture out.
Yes! LOL! So little old grump grump man!
Load More Replies...She's "Get off my lawn" Cat! But if you scroll through all the pics you can tell she's a sweetie
I hate how people are just DYING for a new grumpy cat. Like chill out. Stop trying to get a replacement. (I have a stuffed animal of Grumpy Cat!)
This always makes me a little uncomfortable. Can you imagine cats sharing photos of their hoomans with deformities or genetic illnesses ? "Hey, look, mine is so funny ! He's super inbred, LOL!". (overreacting slightly)
I hate to disappoint you but this cat is very normal. She just happens to be missing teeth. So in other words, pet owners of 3 legged pets shouldn't photograph their pets is what you're saying? Or one's with a limp but leap & run & have an abundance of joy shouldn't be filmed to share that joy? You are being as bigoted as people who once told parents to lock Down Syndrome babies away in institutions or Thalidomide children with limb deformities to be hidden because they were too grotesque. Love is love. If you can't handle it, I feel sorry for you.
Load More Replies...There are many grump cats and dogs. They have the sweetest love for all, just facial expressions. Hell my old professor in Food Sci, you would swear he was po'd all the time, looked like that puppet Walter. Yet the nicest guy and boy could he make you blush when he had a shot ...hahahaha RIP Dr S.
She reminds me of Jean Marais as the Beast in the 1946 film "La Belle et la Bête"
Thank you to Viktoriia for sharing both her love of photography and her love of her pet, Kitzia with me. I know I wrote "grouchy" comments, but I saw the love for Viktoriia shining through in Kitzia's eyes. And by Kitzia's patience in being photographed, I could tell how strong the bond of love is between pet and human.
Maaan. She needs to be in a movie. Or someone make an animation about her! I can imagine the voices already.......
I don't know how old you are or if you watch older TV shows but the voice I'm thinking of is of an actress unfortunately who has died but was in the D**k Van Dike show and played "Sally". I think her name was Rose Marie. Kind of a gravelly voice.
Load More Replies...Kitzia is adorable. Owner's photography skills, not so much. And although I'd love to give Kitzia all the adoration, I really don't want yet another vacuous and narcissistic Instagrammer to make money off her sweet kitty's genetic defects.
