Percy Jackson taught me well. Q11 tho is not Cronus but Kronos, using the Greek spelling.

Very reductive to call Aphrodite the goddess of beauty when it was love, sexuality beauty and fertility (and more). But maybe BP tries to avoid the ‘s’ word for advertising purposes

and athena is called the goddess of wisdom, warfare (strategic), handcrafts and a few other stuff. Greek gods were multipurpose gods. However the most famous aspect of Aphrodite is beauty

These AI generated pics are aweful... Is it really that hard to find stuff made by people?

Nice quiz, easy questions for the initiated ;-) A bit of a pity though that at Q13: "Which two gods were twins?" the picture did not depict the correct twins / the answers did not contain the names of those I thought were depicted. That was a missed opportunity, and I saw that in more than one question. I had a feeling the AI was strong in this one, but correct me if I'm wrong!

That was definitely a random AI image. Don’t think it actually depicts any mythological characters.

Wow, did better than I thought. Used my knowledge from Paganism, Disney's movie Hercules, and the new Netflix show Kaos lol

My kind of article...I love Greek mythology! In Rhodes at the mo and loving every minute of it (other than making the mistake of taking one when school holidays are in full swing lol).

"In Rhodes at the mo." Enjoy Rodini but don't overdo the Chevalier de Rhodes. 😄

Hymen still cracks me up to this day. I know, I know. But growing old is compulsory, growing up is optional.

100% (and I've never read a Percy Jackson book, just general knowledge and growing up reading Bullfinch's Mythology for fun.) 😆

There were many twin gods and figures in Greek Mythology. Castor and Pollux. Thanatos and Hypnos. Several more. So many gods never mentioned. Or the fact that Zeus feared other gods like Nyx. He wouldn’t hear her or her real as name in his house for fear she would come. Kaos, Nyx and Erebus’s family line were the strongest of the gods. Zeus feared the Fates daughters of Nyx and couldn’t command or control them. There’s a tale here and there of Zeus trysting to sway them. Basically the olympians god got bored, gave up, left to rule other realms and the real family is still here… Nyx and her line.
