Share on FacebookThat photo with the elderly lady in black is so heartbreaking. The photo captures her reaction when wildfires were engulfing her house in the background :( On the other hand, this photo of a Romanian firefigher who saved a turtle (Spathari area, Evia island) made me smile this morning. A comment in the post says "Australia, Greece, where next?"... don't forget the west cost of the US and Canada is burning out of control as well right now. -- California: as of August 10, a total of 6,272 fires have been recorded, burning 917,016 acres. In Canada, entire towns have burnt to the ground in British Columbia, destroying everything.
And don't forget the Amazon either. Also Italy, Russia, Algeria and other parts of Africa, ... And Turkey recently had fires and now it got floods (some of it in exactly same parts of the country)
