Grandpa Series

New beautiful series by Armenian photographer Karen Khachaturov is about his grandfather who is struggling the cancer, so Karen tries to visualize his feelings threw his images and try to put himself into different surreal circumstances, doing random activities in a pastel atmosphere.

Most of them seems to be funny so that’s his attitude towards the disease. The “Grandpa series” idea came to Karen right after he has known the diagnose of his grandfather and the whole series has been shot during one month. It’s really easy to work with him rather than with most of the models I shoot, says Karen.

Karen Khachaturov was born on January 11, 1992. He graduated from Northern State University of Yerevan, programming department. He started photography in 2014. Already in 2015,he participating in the humanitarian project "Eyes of culture" and exhibited 3 photos in Tbilisi and on May 2, 2016 Karen had his first solo exhibition at "Narekatsi Art Institute" called "Surreal Universe" with 40 images.
