Somebody Compares ‘Home Alone’ 1990 Vs 2018 Ad Side By Side, And People Notice Macaulay Culkin Looks Healthy
The internet can argue all day long about whether or not ‘Die Hard’ is a Christmas movie, but I think we can all agree that ‘Home Alone’ is definitely a holiday classic. Recently, much to the delight of all the 90’s babies out there, Google teamed up with everyone’s favorite prankster Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) to recreate some classic scenes from the film. These shot for shot remakes are perfect it’s the Christmas present we didn’t know we needed.

Macaulay Culkin was first introduced to us as Kevin McCallister in 1990 when he was a ten-year-old child actor. Almost 30 years later the 38-year-old star is back and looks better than ever.

Many people may not know, but the role of Kevin McCallister was written specifically for Culkin by John Hughes who got the idea for the film during the filming of ‘Uncle Buck’ – also starring the child star.

‘Home Alone’ was so successful that it held the Guinness World Record for over 25 years as number one at the box office, making $17,081,997 in 1202 theaters.

As with many childhood stars fame took a troubling toll on the famous actor. In 2004 he was arrested for marijuana possession and two controlled substances. Culkin was briefly arrested then suspended after pleading guilty.

His fight with the limelight led him to retire at 14 and get married at 18.

Viewers were not only delighted to see a nostalgic remake for a Google commercial but also to see the former actor back on their screens looking healthy and happy. Macaulay Culkin now is a living Christmas miracle.

Macaulay Culkin has been absolutely fine for a number of years but I do agree that he looks so much better than he did. Especially in that picture I'm sure everyone thinks of when they think about him.
