I Dress Up A 5-Foot Giraffe In My Garden In Costumes To Make My Neighbors Laugh (34 Pics)
Gloria the Giraffe came into our family about 10 years ago and since the start of UK lockdown I have been dressing her and putting her into our garden. Our neighbors love to see her and some families are diverting their daily walks so they can walk past her. During the lockdown, Gloria has been a great distraction for people and a lovely opportunity to chat over the gate with friends old and new. Gloria also now has an online following who adore her!
I dress Gloria every day using a range of materials already in my house though I have had to buy more paint and crayons! Gloria started wearing some of my old clothes with various adjustments but she now has more handmade creations. I choose the outfits by thinking about what people would like to see - and the materials that I have! Some of the children in the village love to see the princess and fairy characters, other people like the other more elaborate costumes. Pictures of Gloria taken around the village are also well received.
