Glass Sculpture Made Of 160 Hand Painted Glass Strips Reveals Four Hidden Animals When Rotated
Since the ‘Emulsifier’ is an anamorphic object made out of 160 glass strips that needs rotation in order to be seen properly.
There are four hidden paintings in the piece. Only when the object is rotated and viewed from the right angle the images appear. In the video the ‘Emulsifier’ is rotated on an old record player in which I installed the slowly spinning motor of an ice machine.
The glass strips are put into a base made of wood, the pattern of grooves in the wood was cut by a laser cutter. The size of the sculpture is about 30x30x30cm.
