its ok! these things shouldn't be stigmatized and its ok to talk about these things. but i can understand your anxiousness. If you have a female member in your family(dudes can work too, but its just that girls understand it better since they actually have periods and may be able to help better) such as your mom, older sister, or grandmother, then you should try to ask them. but i'll give you as much advice as possible.

first, you want to keep track of it. when you get it, maybe write in a little notebook the date it started and the date it finished. also note any patterns, or changes. your period usually lasts from 2-7 days. i heard that the days change based on who you hang out with, but idk dont take my word on it and maybe research it yourself if ur curious.

next, be prepared. buy any necessary things, pads, panty liners, tampons. i personally use pads, and i do recommend them since this is your first time having your period. Buy the thick ones. also remember to change them out too. also remember to wear black pants.

also note, it hurts. it depends on the person. personally, it hurts really bad on the first few days and the rest of the days it feels like nothing. but for you it might be different! some people feel pain even before their period may start. some hacks i might have is drink lots of(healthy) fluids, take rest and maybe use a heat pack on your abdomen, and eat a little chocolate.

if you have any other questions, you can ask a female you know, ask your nurse at school, or watch a tutorial on youtube! thats all I can think about for now, and I hope i helped!

Hello, I'm 39 (old lol) and I would suggest you stock up, on pads or tampons (whatever you're the most comfortable using.) Then you could keep a few in a toiletry bag that you can keep in your backpack or locker, so that you're prepared in case you get your . at school.

If you feel you can't talk to a parent, please talk to your school nurse or a kind teacher. They may have supplies you'll need in the nurse's office or be able to help you get them.

There should be some decent videos online that can help you. You’ll probably want to start off with pads, because tampons take some getting used to. Menstrual cups are great if you are at home.
