This Teen Just Got Accepted To Yale After Writing About Papa John’s Pizza, And Their Response Is Brilliant

We’re led to believe that getting into Yale is a pretty difficult thing to do. But one teen from Brentwood, Tennessee, just managed to bag herself a place at one of America’s most prestigious universities by writing a college essay about how much she loves Papa John’s Pizza!

“When the delivery person rings my doorbell, I instantly morph into one of Pavlov’s dogs, salivating to the sound that signals the arrival of the cheesy, circular glory,” wrote Carolina Williams in her essay about something she loves doing. “It smells like celebration, as I love to rejoice a happy occasion by calling Papa John’s for my favorite food.” Fortunately for Carolina, the Admissions Officer at Yale was also a massive pizza fan, so much so that they offered her a place! “As a fellow lover of pizza, I laughed out loud (and then ordered pizza) after reading your application,” they wrote.

The good news doesn’t stop there though, because after tweeting Papa John’s to let them know that her essay about their pizzas had gotten her into Yale, the company responded by offering her a free pizza party for her dorm, plus free pizza for a year! In fact, Papa John himself made a special video just for Carolina, which you can see for yourself below. While she eventually chose Auburn over Yale, Carolina’s essay proved what we already knew: pizza is the answer to everything!

Let us hope she signed up for studying business administration with a specialisation in marketing. The studies will be a bliss. If she signed up for trophology, however, hard times are on the horizon...

That too. And especially so when her metabolism starts slowing down. :D

Great advertisement for Papa John's, not so much for Yale...

I have disagree. I think it is honestly a plus for Yale, because today's education system is geared so much toward people who can do fast math in their heads or explain why gold and chlorine can bond when energized (Not sure they can do that, just a random example) vs. people with creative or theatrical minds.
