Share on FacebookActually the shelving is quite sturdy because L brackets are used to connect blocks to shelving. But you are thinking along the same line - we have an aluminum shelving system coming that will slot over the connector lugs and nest neatly. Some people like to see the lugs though as a design element.
In time, the Lego bricks would replace the actual bricks. I don't know how steady are they, if there are possiblities to replace the actual buildings.
Maybe that's what all the unused cars and plastic waste will become?
Load More Replies...Seems like it would be far more practical if the blocks actually slotted into the boards you use with the shelving etc. As is it looks quite unsturdy. The TV pedestal looks far better, but there it would be much nicer if you had some thinner pieces for the middle sections, so less space is wasted. Finally, the glass topped tables aren't very practical either. You could adjust the height by adding or removing layers, but you're limited by the size of the sheet of glass you have. You can't change the table size, and a sheet of glass isn't the most convenient thing to store. I think there are definitely some potential applications for even furniture, shelving and maybe working surfaces, etc. Provided that the tops can be secured more effectively. Good luck.
