I spent last Christmas on my own, for the first time ever, because I had Covid (wasn't ill, just contagious). It was bliss. Just me and Disney+, and the quiet of my own home.

I still don't think this is as widely understood as it should be. She's not "asking for it" because of her outfit (or her drink). For all victims of SA: IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT. Daughters are taught modesty when sons should be taught self-control. SA is not about sex. It's about power. Stop victim-blaming and start perp-shaming.

There was an art exhibit where women wrote things related to their SA experience. One of the most heartbreaking and telling was one that said "Was I "asking for it" at 8 years old by wearing my nightgown?". SA is never about what the victim was wearing, doing, saying, where they were, who they were with. SA is ALWAYS about a the predator wanting S3x and the power to take it when they want and how they want. We definitely need more MEN calling out creepy/inappropriate behavior when they see it. Silence only allows abuse to continue and the perpetrators to continue to think it's ok (or not face enough consequences for them to care that it isn't)

There is no justification for being victimized. Protect yourself from becoming a victim.

Honestly shut the hell up. Have YOU ever been in that situation? Because it's the scariest god-damned thing I've been in.

And this is why I walk people home...so no one has to face the dangers of this world alone. Plus it's fun! All the conversations I've had about life and the universe has made those walks much more interesting.

The second photo, in a lot of scenarios, is still, “my body, my choice”. I myself dress like that. I *want* to dress like that. Majority of Muslim women in Western countries enjoy dressing like that. I understand that women in countries like Afghanistan and Iran aren’t given a choice. However, they’re being hyperfocused on to represent the entire Muslim female population. Yes, raise awareness about their horrible situation, but understand that, by choice, 99.9% of the Muslim women you see walking down the street in an abaya or hijab etc. have chosen to wear it and don’t need your rescuing.

People need to understand this. You can be working, look healthy, and interact "normally" in social settings and still have depression rotting at your heart. Be kind.

I quit shaving months ago. I find it unnecessary and I am a sweatpants/jeans type of girl anyway. Body hair is normal. Don't feel like you are alone if you want to stop shaving...there's a lot of us hairy girlies.

My wife wears my boxer shorts and my tank top to hang around the house. It is drop dead sexy on her. But she herself would not wear that outside the house. Modesty is good. There is nothing wrong with wearing whatever you like but you know what is appropriate. Btw, that is also why we men trust or wives to buy us our clothes and coordinate our colors. Wives just know that stuff.

If someone doesn't like my "winter fur" they don't have the look. So many people in the U.S. appreciate the rugged American look for men. There were women on those west bound wagon trains, too. Did Sacagawea shave her legs? It's ridiculous that modern society expects women to look so artificial and unrealistic.

Are vs were. No one is going to say anything about are. An ignorant Someone or ignorant people possibly are going to say something so loud and offensive to them, about them, it’s going to end up being a “were”.

This needs to be repeated to everyone until it's an ingrained philosophy of society. People with chronic illness and disability face feeling the exact opposite any time they can't work, can't clean their house, can't get out of bed! Hustle Culture needs to die

It's OK to not be OK, but it's not OK to stay that way. That's the difference between normal bad days and mental health conditions such as depression. If you are chronically not OK, please reach out for help. You are worth the effort. 🤗

The very reason I will never even try one on. Except I'm bigger on top - I think it would be obscene. (Like Mean Girls, but I couldn't style it out.)

If you need to: absolutely. If it's just for 'normal' discharge (I know this varies from person to person), try going without for a few weeks, you might be producing more discharge -because- you wear a pantyliner every day. It dries out and irritates the vagina. Try wearing cotton underwear for a while and see if your balance changes, it might be a lot more healthy and comfortable in the end! If you really do want to use something every day, try reusable cotton liners, better for health and environment. (And good for everyone talking about this stuff, it's important!)

And after you say them and you’re in bed that night you replay the conversation in your head. Over and over again. No sleep tonight.
