The internet united over football this past Sunday - but not for the reason the NFL was hoping for. Even before the first play, the league had already taken multiple L's. Due to the controversy surrounding Colin Kaepernick, many fans had already expressed that they would be sitting Super Bowl LIII out - and for those who watched, it's safe to say they didn't miss much, especially if they were on Twitter.
In what is being called one of the most boring super bowl games ever, the most entertaining part of the day was scrolling through the endless reaction memes. Even those who know nothing about football joined in, roasting the horribly anti-climactic half-time show by Maroon 5 and the grotesque queso that Fox News anchor Dana Perino tweeted out. Super Bowl LIII was the lowest-watched Super Bowl since 2009, and the lowest scoring game (13-3) ever since the Super Bowl began - but at least we got some priceless memes. Scroll down below to check them out and don't forget to upvote your favs!

There's people even in the US that has zero interest. Star Trek won the superbowl in my household.
Sure, Adam Levine can go shirtless during his halftime performance. But when Janet Jackson does the same, she gets pulled off the stage. Ridiculous.
Rams and Pats played like they knew one of them are going to eat McDonalds at the WhiteHouse. LOL
Ah, we gotta hear about the Royal's and Megan Markle every other news article daily. Let them be irratated by US memes.
Basically, the two teams that played didn’t score much. Also the viewers were promised a song but got led on by playing the first three seconds of If then switching to another song
Load More Replies...I am a citizen of the USA and I don’t understand that stuff either. And I don’t really care! 😄😂😝
It's like non-Americans think that all Americans watch and care about football.
I feel the same when I go online and see FIFA memes when that time of the year rolls around.
I'm a non American yet i love the NFL.. unfortunately I'm rooting for the Chief.
Okay, I know this is gonna sound completely ignorant, but what is sweet victory, and what is sicko mode, and why is everyone so upset about it?
Well if they haven't watched the previous ones they might find this one interesting. Isn't it popular mostly in the USA? I don't think the rest of the world cares too much.
Hey now! How is gluttony worse than lust? Lust can break up relationships and marriages and destroy careers and even lead to rape. Gluttony hurts only the person doing it.
Yeah, okay, I don't know either of these songs and I can't go listen to them at the moment. F**k.
And this description is one of the reasons I hate most sports. It's second after being angry that they are the cause of any actually good show getting cut off.
Meh, honestly, I don't care about any of this. No need to shame Americans for being excited about something that's part of uniquely their culture and doesn't hurt anybody (hopefully so, hope it's not like hooligans in Europe, when they get violent). Just let them enjoy. Don't like the memes? Skip. No need to feel offended just because you - a non-American - were not included into something completely American. *shrug*
Totally agree. I'm American and don't care, so I just skip or don't click on those. Who cares, right?
Load More Replies...Countries outside of the US are doing a lot of talking about something they "don't care about". Just saying. As for me, I really don't care. I never watch football (or any sports).
Are we?? - When was it? Where was it? What sport? Who played? Who won? What was the score? What actually IS this SuperBowl thing? - it it like the World Bowling Championship? Looked though a few of these memes and couldnt work out a single answer. All I could glean is what artists played at half-time.
Load More Replies...PSA: Not all Americans care about the superbowl, so most of these memes apply to us, as well.
Let me explain the SB in terms the rest of the world can understand...the game was 3 scores to 1. See why Americans thought it was boring?
Seriously - what is Super Bowl? I have heard of it, but can t bother to actually look it up since I suspect there is sport somewhere in there.
Basically it’s two American football teams that have beat others in playoffs and they go against each other for the last game of the season
Load More Replies...I feel like after the super bowl everyone was hoping they could go back in time to where they were entering and stop themselves and get a refund.
...figure out what happened that triggered so many memes, can anybody be so kind to fill in the blanks? TIA!
Load More Replies...I am an "American". I live here. Do not care about the super bowl and have no idea what the sicko mode is and am not going to google it. Just because I live someplace doesn't mean I care about what other people find fascinating. I know there is a manchester united... at least I think its called that. If I lived in the UK I would know just about the same.
The last time I watched a Super Bowl, Terry Bradshaw threw the 'Hail-Mary pass to Franco Harris, and Dan Marino intercepted it. I think Ford was still President...
I'm a non American yet i love the NFL.. unfortunately I was rooting for the Chief this year.. the Patriots almost got me sucked in for the past 3 years.
Just let us poor Americans hate on something with memes. It's the only thing that brings us joy in these dark, dark times.
The rest of the world thinks everything coming out of US a*s is awesome. There are super bowl parties, super bowl live views, super bowl whatever. They explain the rules every time but guess who does not play "football" ... yes., the rest of the world. We're watching a sport nobody is playing.
Wow. Some of these memes are trying way too hard to come up with something.
