This Online Group Is Shaming People For Failing At The One Job They Had To Do, And Here Are 45 Of The Funniest Examples
If you liked our publications on the subreddit 'OSHA' or the Facebook group 'Looks Like An OSHA Violation But Ok,' you should enjoy this one as well.
(I'll commit the sin of paraphrasing this community's title, but trust me, it's just a minor change and doesn't detract anything from it.)
The subreddit is called '[Dumb] People At Work.' Even though it's smaller than its aforementioned cousins and has just over 9K members, the content is just as good. Or bad. Depends on how you look at it.
Tying up dirt and rocks with straps, building questionable towers from nearby material instead of getting a ladder... It's all there!

Most of these people look like they have never heard of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). It's a federal agency responsible for ensuring safe and healthy working conditions for employees in the United States.
OSHA sets and enforces standards for workplace safety and health, and provides training, outreach, education, and assistance to employers and workers.
OSHA violations occur when an employer fails to comply with OSHA standards or regulations. These violations can range from minor infractions, such as failing to properly label a chemical container, to serious violations that result in injury or death, such as failure to provide proper fall protection or failure to adequately train employees on the use of hazardous chemicals.

Interestingly, this could be malicious compliance if there's a rule that loads must be strapped down.

Interesting Way Of Starting Up His Chainsaw
A guy that hopelessly stupid probably shouldn't be breeding anyway, let's face it.
“And it was from that moment when Timmy’s family felt that he was finally doing something to benefit humanity”
He is not near the throttle. No. I think he's just adjusting the choke. No real danger, yet still bad practice.
The number of people on here that don’t understand how machines work is astounding.
Load More Replies...It doesn't start spinning when you start it up, you have to hold two levers for that.
Only if you have the chain brake on otherwise it might spin even slightly. Even it was true it doesn't make that any less stupid to do
Load More Replies...Either he never wants children, or he’s dying to sing soprano. Either way, say goodbye to your nuts, bro.
Definitely cheap alternative... well, in the beginning anyway. Although it would end up being covered by insurance that way lol
Load More Replies...Please remember to avoid jumpig to conclusions. Nothing says he's starting it, or he might be pretending, or who knows what. Same goes with our daily life in the real world. Still funny.
She me of you folks just can't leave things alone. It's a joke. Laugh. Dam. Don't dissect the joke for everyone else. Take a bite out of a rock or something
Load More Replies...A lot of assumptions here. First of all, people are assuming he's trying to start when he could be repairing or adjusting. Also, the chainsaw looks to be at an angle, not between the legs. Even if he was starting the chainsaw, it doesn't spin unless you are holding the trigger.
You couldn't leave it alone. These are suppose to be some fun looking at these,. But you have to blow it by taking the fun out of the picture. Bboooo
Load More Replies...Guys you know how 5 dumb*ss Americans shoot off their p*nises each year? Well, this guy is a new extreme.
Maybe he’s learning how to do a cesarean birth???? Before Cesarean sections if a baby was too large to pass through the birth canal, parts of the pelvis would be removed. At first, the procedure was performed with a small knife which was very messy and painful. In 1780, two doctors invented the chainsaw to make the removal both easier and less time-consuming.
Let's face it, if this guy is dumb enough to do this, he's doing the human race a favour by eliminating any possibility of adding to the genetic pool.
Cheaper than a trip to the vet...but if he's that dumb, he aught not reproduce anyway.
This looks a lot more disturbing than it actually is... and it looks pretty disturbing!
He just doesn't want any kids but to afraid to tell his wife. I guess this way is easier
Is this the Before picture? I’m not sure if I want to see the After one 😱
This is what happens when healthcare is too expensive. People start performing their own vasectomies at home.
I get scared when a chainsaw is 50 feet away from my testicles. Let alone zero inches.
I know gender reassignment surgery is expensive, but did he at least try to start a GoFundMe account first??!!
"Crikey! - Look at what Samuels doin!" "What's that?" "I said look at what....." (In background: >BRRMMMMMMMMMMMMM< "...SAMANTHA'S doin!"
Betcha he only does this once... And hopefully the safety clutch works.
Give this man a Darwin award for taking himself out of the gene pool.
Normally I'd intervene, but this level of stupid is best sterilised for the good of the species
Not to worry. Most (all?) chainsaws require the chain brake to be engaged before they will start.
He seems to be adjusting the chain tension. And the saw is along his right leg not between them.
To my mind this is just an optical illusion and he had the blade right to him and not between his legs.
Won't have to worry about his offspring making the same mistake.
I want to see how this ended. No matter what I bet he won't have kids after this.
When I was being a feller in northern Montana, we would start the chainsaws (36" bar) by lifting the saw and dropping it while holding on to the starter pull (this was 1971). Had to be in a clear space b/c once the saw started, I'd spin in a circle while getting it under control. (was topping a tree once, tried this and had to descend the tree to get my saw back)
I'd have to let that one go. I think we would all be better off without him reproducing
With global population exploding beyond our limits, I recommend that more men use this method.
I'm pretty sure there are less painful and messy ways to do a DIY vasectomy.
Dont worry lol those things have a clutch to avoid accidents, once the clutch is on you can have the engine red lining but the chain doest move.
Agree with LazierPanda...not everything needs politics forced into it.
Load More Replies...In the United States, OSHA has the authority to inspect workplaces for compliance with OSHA standards, and can issue citations and fines to employers who are found to be in violation. Employers have the right to contest OSHA citations, but if the citations are upheld, the employer must correct the violation and pay any associated fines.
There are several common OSHA violations that occur in the United States. Some of the most frequently cited violations include:
- Lack of fall protection: Falls are one of the leading causes of workplace injuries and deaths, and OSHA requires employers to provide adequate fall protection for employees who work at heights. This includes installing guardrails, safety netting, and other protective measures to prevent falls.
- Lack of hazard communication: Employers are required to provide information to employees about the hazards they may encounter on the job, including the proper handling and storage of hazardous chemicals.

- Lack of proper respiratory protection: Employers must provide adequate respiratory protection to employees who work in environments where they may be exposed to hazardous substances. This includes providing the proper respirators and training employees on how to use them.
- Lack of machine guarding: Employers must provide proper machine guards to protect employees from being injured by moving machinery parts.
- Lack of proper electrical safety: Employers must follow OSHA standards for electrical safety, including the use of proper grounding and electrical protective equipment.

Given Her Statements , I Think This Qualifies As A Dumbass At Work
OSHA violations can have serious consequences for both employers and employees. Employers who violate OSHA standards can face fines, legal action, and negative publicity, which can damage their reputation and bottom line. Employees who work in unsafe conditions or who are not properly trained on how to use hazardous materials may suffer serious injuries or death.

Hey Boss... Where Should I Put This Plunger ?
It is important for both employers and employees to be aware of OSHA standards and regulations, and to take steps to ensure compliance. Employers should conduct regular safety audits and training sessions, and employees should report any safety concerns they have to their supervisors. By working together to ensure compliance with OSHA standards, employers and employees can help create a safe and healthy work environment.

Used to work at a glass factory. Happened there too, after a rush order a couple of us did on a Saturday. The manager thought he could drive a forklift. We refused to work another 6 hours, and the manager was "reassigned" the Monday after. Still hurts to think about it.

Got Stuck. Clearly Wasn't Watching
We have a bridge in my home town that acts as a truck trap. It has a clear max height warning, yet several time a year, it snares another victim. So, the city decided the warning was not enough, and they placed a construct infront of the bridge, so if the truck wont fit, this thing hits the roof first and wont cause as much damage on either the truck or bridge. The problem is, they only placed one of those, in one direction even though it is a two way street because they claimed "most trucks drive in this direction". It only took some weeks, and a truck got stuck again - coming from the other direction.

Oh, I have a fun one! I’m playing D&D with my family. Background: the party just got our asses kicked, and have been captured. My mom was a sorcerer, my brother was a rogue, and I was a paladin. My dad was DMing. So, my brother picks the lock of our cell and sneaks out, and tries to steal the (asleep) guard’s sword. Critical failure, the guard wakes up. Roll for initiative. Literally the NEXT TURN, I, the MEAT SHIELD, grab the sword and lop off the guy’s head. Shortly followed by in-character banter about the meat shield doing the rogue’s job.
My dad once tried to attack a fire imp with fire. Also my players trial-and-errored though a simple Indiana Jones floor puzzle. This is why I love D&D.
