If it makes your sleepless nights any easier, know that you aren't alone. According to CDC data, more than a third of American adults are not getting enough of good sleep on a regular basis. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the Sleep Research Society recommend that adults aged 18–60 years should get at least 7 hours of quality sleep each night to promote optimal health and well-being.

Sleeping less than 7 hours per day can lead to an increased risk of developing chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and frequent mental distress.

I'm actually really comforted by the fact that apparently thousands of other people have exactly the same issues with sleep that I do.
While I agree and it's totally normal to have these problems sometimes, it's very sad so many people don't get good sleep and that's some kind of merit 'not to have time to sleep'. Also there are so many health problems causing and coming from sleep problems and I hope people would take them more seriously
