There’s something about funny road signs that everyone seems to have a soft spot for. Think of the internet’s beloved sign at Tex-Mex restaurant El Arroyo or the legendary Wallingford Sign at Seattle Propane, famous for making anyone who crosses paths with it giggle.
No less puntastic (if not even more!) is the Indian Hills Community Sign that has gained almost a cult following for its smashing one-liners, hilariously cheeky jokes, puns, and you name it. The sign makes road wisdom meet dad comedy, and the result will surely make you chuckle.
"It all began 5 years ago, on April Fools Day, when I put up a street sign that stirred up the area," the creator behind the sign told Bored Panda earlier. Turns out, Colorado native Vince Rozmiarek not only managed to put his lovely town, Indian Hills, on the map, but united all the sign humor aficionados on this Facebook page that keeps on growing.

With more than 161k followers, the Indian Hills Community Sign has become one of the internet’s most liked road signs. Created by Vince Rozmiarek, the goal of the sign board is to spread “puntastic humor to lighten your world,” says the project’s description on Vince’s website.
To find out more about the puntastic Indian Hills Community Sign, Bored Panda reached out to its creator Vince, better known as VinceTheSignGuy on social media, who shared some very interesting insights about his sign.“I built and started putting punny/funny messages on the sign, as a volunteer at the Indian Hills Community Center, starting on 4/1/2013,” he said.
“April Fools was the day the sign fun was born, with 'Indian Hills Annexed by Morrison, slow down!' put on it. This sign insinuated that the Morrison Police Department was going to run speed traps in Indian Hills... and it created the desired chaos!”
Vince recounted that it was the first time “I had put anything of note on the big teal board I installed at the entrance of the Indian Hills Community Center.” After that, he decided to throw various things up there, from musings, quips, fake headlines, anything “unique and different,” as long as it got people talking.
“Now those first 2 years, I was not posting signs online, but I was getting a ton of great feedback from the community, and frankly, I was having a blast trying to put up a new... crazy sign every 3 days.”
In 2015, Vince partnered with a friend, Micahlynn Kaza, to create The Indian Hills Community Sign Page. “She built and ran it, and I posted up the signs. After that, the world started getting in on the fun! There have been so many fun sign stories over the years!”
Vince recounted some of them: “'Turning vegan would be a big missed steak' was a newsmaker... complete with vegans vandalizing the sign. When the Denver Broncos made their Superbowl run in 2015, I was predicting wins with funny puns that went viral! 'You know... when Colts grow up, the best become Broncos... Peyton Manning!"’
The creator of the famous sign also does signs for holidays, “with special respect given to our military on the appropriate days.”
“During lockdown, I was doing a sign a day, really feeling the angst of what was happening around us, trying to put something up that might change the sad mood out there, if for just a minute.” Vince confessed it was like therapy to him, and he really bonded with many followers during this time, ”and that endures to this day!”
Moreover, fans from all over the world can submit their jokes online, and they may well end up on the famous board. Punny one-liners like “The only thing flat-Earthers have to fear is sphere itself,” “I call my horse Mayo and sometimes Mayo neighs” and “Looking back, I really hurt my neck” are very welcome, so if you have one, be sure to hit Vince up here.
Just because people say that it's only paranoia doesn't mean that you're not being followed.
At first I was like, oh, that's wholesome, then I was like oh, that's creepy
you should call him on his personal phone on Saturday when you are sick and let him know about it
People are put into life without even being asked for their consent first.
You mean they are together? Yeah, we all knew. The chemistry here is obvious!
my favourite post so far! That person is hilarious and I'm definetely going to steal at least 20 of them
OMG I live like 15 minutes away from here and me and my dad read it everyday on our way back up from Denver.
Should've checked this out when I was in Colorado about a month ago.
Kudos to these kind of people who make us laugh and forget about the outside world for a few minutes.
