Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and so is taste in t-shirts. Some like them monochrome, others opt for colors, and some prefer slogans, others elaborate prints. The rest just like the price on sale, so they land a bargain.
But when you scroll through this collection of unusual shirts, you may wonder what exactly makes people wear such weird and ridiculous shirts. I mean, they surely weren’t forced to put them on. Is it a form of self-expression? An urge to stand out? An attempt to make a statement? A wish to be unique?
Actually giggled at this one, think "dark, I like it", read the first comment... 👌

That's bad. So bad I spewed my Dr. Pepper out of my nose when I snort-laughed!
Trivia fact: on the show Finding Your Roots, Larry David and Bernie Sanders found out that they are actually related.
Laura Vanagaite, an international freelance graphic designer who specializes in branding and social media content creation, argues that it’s because of all of these reasons. “Some may wear them to express their unique personality or sense of humor, while others may wear them as a form of rebellion against societal norms. Additionally, some people may simply find the designs and slogans on the shirts visually appealing,” Laura said.
From a designer's point of view, Laura said, “a good shirt print should be visually striking, easily recognizable, and memorable. It should also be versatile and work well on a variety of shirt colors and styles.” She added that when creating a good t-shirt design, it's important to consider the audience and the message that the shirt is trying to convey.
Don't google it. Long story short, homophobic law regarding things that aren't anyone's business except the consenting adults involved.
We also asked Laura if such a thing as a “bad” t-shirt design exists and she confirmed that it's sometimes the case. “A bad design can fail to effectively communicate the intended message, be visually unappealing, or be offensive or inappropriate in some way. For example, a design that is poorly executed or difficult to understand can detract from the overall message or branding of the shirt.”
Another example of a poor design is one which contains offensive or derogatory language or images that can be harmful and disrespectful to certain groups of people. “It's important for designers to carefully consider their target audience and message, and ensure that their designs are well-executed, appropriate, and visually appealing,” Laura explained.
When it comes to trends in t-shirt designs, Laura said that trends in shirt prints and slogans come and go. Some of the most popular ones in recent years include retro designs, pop culture references, and humorous or motivational slogans, she said.
“Also, there has been a growing trend towards more socially conscious and politically charged messages on t-shirts. Ultimately, the trends in shirt design and slogans will always be influenced by current events and popular culture,” Laura concluded.
Good job, you are indeed being very brave. Do you want a star sticker? Edit: wow, so you all want stickers... here you go! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Also thanks to Electra Smith and fair_weather_rose for helping me pass out stickers lol)
Yes, I accept your ALPHA-ness. Now let's go for lunch, you made me work up an appetite XD
On the bus this morning I saw a woman wearing a shirt that said "TODAY IS A NICE DAY TO LEAVE ME ALONE". I saw an even better one a few weeks ago: "YOU'RE NOT SHAKESPEARE, SO STOP CREATING DRAMA" with a picture of an annoyed looking Shakespeare.
I can't bring myself to toss my Paul Reubens t-shirt. I guess I should sew its into something else. 20230217_1...d0f2a0.jpg
I have a crew neck the features Edge and Christian from WWE, with Billie Eilish in between them, and it says "Final Fantasy VII"
that's awesome! i have a thrift store t-shirt that says "i ♡ mashed potatoes" in fancy curly writing.
Load More Replies...why? it's just dark humor, & it isnt the hateful kind of "dark humor" that targets minorities in any way. it's a gag shirt based on a popular meme format. scroll past if you don't find it funny, but there's nothing wrong with it & you'd know that if you spent a couple seconds fact-checking before getting all offended over a typical example of dark humor. though i suppose the 120+ downvotes on a dark joke explains why the dark humor/offbeat jokes/etc listicles here have turned to s**t over the past couple years - bp users cant handle anything remotely edgy without pissing their pants.
