As we are (hopefully) approaching the end of the pandemic, spring is in full bloom and the mood is more optimistic. While my sourdough baking days are over, I am still "baking" a new drawing each day. Since the start of the pandemic, drawing has been a great way to deal with stress. As a silver lining, I've rediscovered drawing again. After a long day of endless zoom meetings, it's refreshing to work on a small creative project.
I get inspired by literally anything: a toilet paper roll, talking to friends and family, online shopping, scrolling Facebook, or when reading the news. My original series was "before and after" focused on how our lives have changed during the pandemic, but since then, I've explored a few additional concepts. One new theme I've been excited about is inanimate objects that can talk to each other, for example, what if a face mask could complain to a toilet paper roll about its job? Or what would a chair say to a butt? I found that these objects are perfect metaphors for daily life (or maybe I am losing it from being in the lockdown for too long.) I also like drawing silly charts and puns.
I hope you enjoy this freshly baked batch of drawings! Previous posts: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, and Part 6.

Working
No kids, no tv, no S.O. And the cat is a nice coworker ^^ I'm definitely more efficient from home
Load More Replies...At my house it's 50% working and 50% opening the door for the dogs (every 30 minutes).
Bet I'll reply to a text at the office too. Then walk away call my partner; talk about the text. Come back, maybe even chat with my work partner about the text and before jumping into a meeting that could have been an email or slack msg. 20-30 mins gone when I could have responded to the text; yell out, "blah just texted me blah blah". hear a response and move on. 5 mins tops. But honestly there are tvs in my office that were on to help "stress relieve", they are off at home. There were co-workers bringing in their children, family, friends for a tour (we had a awesome, cool office). Its just me and my also wfh SO. I may stop and take more mini breaks throughout the day to take care of my pets needs or even my own, but I can get to my desk earlier to start the day or stay later to catch up without have to worry about traffic or other outliers. Remote work can be lonely but more productive for the right ppl. But so ppl work best in an office environment. I just home more places allow flexiblity after all this
This picture is very true. Yes during this pandemic, life affected very much, everything changed and its still affecting and changing our living, working, eating, sleeping, thinking, shopping, almost everything got changed. Working from home is most difficult thing, early on its looks comfortable, but after some time very difficult, without discipline and working environment working from home is not easy. Shopping is also changed during this pandemic, online Shopping seems to be the future shopping. As no one wants to come out . So small retails will die due to this covid19. Everything from smaller to larger products are being sold through ecommerce.
The only thing you could scratch from that is "sitting in traffic", the rest I still do
Maybe for people who are workaholics :D there's life after work hours xD

So we should bear in mind that plagues, wars etc are as old as humans. We've survived worse and we can survive this. Be kinder to people and we can get through this Panda's.
Covid isn't the bubonic plague or WWII. If we don't get through this, I would lose all faith in humanity. All of it. But what you say is true. Be nicer, kinder, and we can get through this. :) Have a nice day!!!

If countries could have got everyone to self isolate for 3-5 weeks, at once, we could have got rid of covid, and a load of other communicable illnesses too. But no, people wanted their freedom.
Exactly what qualifies you to come to this conclusion .it doesn't make sense scientifically . this is a virus that spread. Staying home isn't going to do much
Load More Replies...I live in South Australia and we have BARELY been affected. We had a false alarm 2 day lockdown and that was it haha. Gyms closed for 2 weeks. Just have to scan a QR code when entering businesses and use common sense with distance and that's about it
