This Online Group Showcases People Who Pretend They Didn’t Deliberately Do Something And Here’s 30 Of The Most Cringeworthy Examples
It can be pretty tempting to jump to lying after, for example, texting your crush goes horribly wrong. "Omg, my friend stole my phone and sent you that message as a joke, that totally wasn't me. I would never say that, lol."
But there's only so much bending a narrative can take. Overdo it, and you're exposed. Plus, people aren't as gullible as we might think.
And I have the perfect subreddit to back up these claims. It's called r/OopsDidntMeanTo and the pictures its members share expose all kinds of "accidents."
From bringing a Labrador to a meeting with a dog-phobic person to buying a Range Rover, here are some of the most ridiculous ones. If these situations won't prove to you that it's better to just accept your embarrassment than run away from it, nothing will.

Bella DePaulo, Ph.D., a psychologist at the University of Virginia, said that lying is simply a condition of life. In her research she found that both men and women lie in approximately a fifth of their social exchanges lasting 10 or more minutes. And over the course of a week, we deceive about 30 percent of people we have one on one interactions with.
There are, however, some differences between the sexes. Women are more likely to tell altruistic lies to avoid hurting other people’s feelings, and men are more likely to lie about themselves. De Paulo discovered that men lie more often to impress. Consider this: a typical conversation between two guys contains about eight times as many self-oriented lies as it does lies about others.
I Hate It When That Happens
I'm Sure The Cnn Editor Just Forgot It
What A Tragedy
Oh I hate when that happens *hair flip*. I tried to dye my hair darker because it was a bit straw-like, and it turned to gold. Poor me. Married to the king, feeling cute, might lose baby to an imp guy later, idk 💋 Kisses!
Of course, not all lies are harmful. In fact, sometimes lying is the best approach for protecting privacy and ourselves and others from malice. Some deception, such as boasting and lies in the name of tact and politeness, for example, can also be classified as less than serious.
But bald-faced lies (whether they involve leaving out the truth or putting in something false), are harmful, as they corrode trust and intimacy—the glue of society. No wonder these people got shamed for it!
Just Over 4 Years On And This Still Makes Me Laugh
Phone Fell And Took This Accident Selfie
"oops I dropped my phone lets get in a super cute pose just in case my phone takes a photo!"
Honestly, the pose she made when she "dropped" *Cough, did this on purpose, Cough* makes her look like she needs to pee. sorry about my splutter, got a cold

I always laugh when I drop something that costs upwards of $700-$1200.

I've wondered this every time I see a photo of (mostly always women) laughing uproariously, with head thrown completely back, mouth wide open showing all teeth. once in a while, yeah, you might laugh that hard. Five wanna be models all doing it at the same time because a bird flew by or it just happened to "be that moment" is just soo phony
Load More Replies...I hope when she turned around to go in, she found that the door had locked behind her. She can take a lot more photos of her freezing her ass off, for "her fans" then
"I dropped my phone and my first instinct is not to try to catch it, but to pose like Marilyn Monroe!"
Just happened to take a photo while wearing an "sexy schoolgirl outfit" while cold outside. Uh huh
Why hide her name? I wouldn't mind seeing more accidental photos. 🙃
In the UK up-skirting law was recently passed... When I see women posting photos like this voluntary, I feel very sad for them. It makes me think that it will take several more generations to erase women objectification from western society psyche and for these women to treat themselves with self esteem
She didn't post this on purpose. As she was dusting off her phone, her fingers accidentally posted the picture. Ugh, stupid phone.
Don't you just hate it when your phone falls and you get a really hot photo? Like "Oh no guys! My phone snuck up on me! Oops." images-2-6...74691.jpeg
That's not a miniskirt. That's a friggin' bandana! Why bother wearing anything at all?

When your phone really takes a picture by accident its not a perfectly posed flattering picture its usually a close up of your nose or ear or something 😂
And for the pics of the phone/camera "falling", wouldn't the pics, or some of them, come out blurry? Or do they take these amazing pics while they are moving? (Not the video or slow panoramic pics.) I'm not up to speed with the photo tech and what it can/can't do.

There are stockyards in Texas not half as full of bullshit as this post.
Why do people lie? To intentionally try and deceive people, just why? I cannot stand a liar.
Because they're unhappy with who they really are. It's sad and pathetic.
Load More Replies...Man I do not understand people who think they have to lie to post pics. "I look nice" "Damn I have a fine ass" Be f*****g proud of it, you'll seem SIGNIFICANTLY less vain if you're just honest about it.
My son (then 7y) once accidently published photos of his pumpkins as introductory photos on a map for an office in the neighbourhood. Gave him my phone to take the pictures and when I got the phone back, I noticed what he managed to do. I hope the place managed to remove the pictures. I was really glad, that I never take any nudes. :-)
I'm guessing these guys have something like a chunnibyou? Except that believing that they have superpowers, they feel the need to gain attention?
The attention these people are lacking in their life is just sad that they have to do this
People seem to be incredibly narcissistic and attention seeking these days, it’s really off-putting. Still…if that makes them happy, more power to them but their constant need to lie is a little disturbing
I think the only time I accidentally took an unwanted photo on my phone is when some idiot decided to cross my line-of-sight while I was trying to photograph something I want.
Or not, got the point wrong, how do I delete this?
