And having chili in a spray bottle isn't either but there's always the risk of getting an assault charge if you use them. There was a case here (Finland) where a jogger and his dog stumbled upon a guy assaulting a girl. Of course the jogger went and pulled the guy away so he couldn't get any further. Turns out the biggest sentence was given to the jogger who tried to help for aggravated assault. The assaulter guy only got an attempted charge. No good deed

Shouldn't men and women be treating each other equally? I've always been confused by the concept that "men always have to hold the door for women". I don't hate it, I just don't understand. It's led to a lot of stressful and awkward situations for me.

People should hold doors for each other based on where they happen to be standing, but men are a greater danger to women (in general) than women are to men, so it's important to respect women's need to feel safe.

Not funny, there's some pretty low life women out there who will take a decent man for all he's got and more with a decent bit of parenting they may have grown up more respectful of others, bad behaviour is not acceptable in either women or men and I say that as a mother who raised two sons and a daughter

Yeah... I taught my stepdaughter and daughter to show the same respect that they deserved. Never mistreat someone or allow yourself to be mistreated. And that if they ever had a problem, they always have a home as long as I have one. That I will always have their back even if I disagree with them, but if they were wrong I will call them out for it and expect them to take ownership of their actions... pretty much the same things I told my stepsons.

Even with the extremely lax laws in Oklahoma, I leave my gun at home unless I'm staying in the Hood. If I'm going outside those areas, Instead of my gun I'll carry Police grade pepper spray and stun-guns (Friends in Law Enforcement is REALLY handy) that I carry everywhere I go. I have 2 different types of a stun-gun, 1 is weaker and on my keychain with pepper spray. That one will shock and give you time to try and get away if I can't pepper spray or buy time to grab the bigger one. The LE grade will drop a Motherfūcker instantly and they're not getting back up. That one is bigger so I can't carry it on my keychain like the smaller one. Even though I'm good with the Gang and Dealers that run my Hood, those 3 things won't do any good vs a gun, especially if I'm in an Opps (opposing) Territory/Hood. Gangs and Dealers do NOT legally carry or have registered fire arms, gun laws don't mean s**t to those guys.

Oklahoma has "Make My Day" and "Stand your ground laws" to help protect those of us that LEGALLY carry firearms. The "Make my day law" applies to someone breaking into your home and gives you the right to defend yourself. The "Stand your ground law" is for when you're outside of your home and being threatened, so you're able to defend yourself or someone else if there is life threatening circumstances. Any shooting is investigated to determine if they think that person was justified in using lethal force and if in the their eyes it was wrong, they'll be prosecuted by the law. People have gone to prison over that Būllshit when they were only protecting themselves or someone else. Downvote me all you want, but I have a right to protect myself or others if a life is being threatened. That's the ONLY way that I would use a gun to DEFEND myself or someone else. There are times you DON'T have a choice.again I NEVER carry outside my Hood, if I were to shoot someone it would be justified.
