Weng Chen aka Messy Cow is a mindful mom. And a creative one. She's been documenting the struggles of raising kids for quite some time now and they're as accurate as they get. Messy Cow showed us the difference between having the first vs. second child, what happened to her husband after becoming a father, how both of their lives changed after having kids, and all of the painful ways in which a 2-year-old can hurt you. I don't know what universe hack Messy Cow's using, but she still finds time to draw her hilariously relatable comics.

"When I was about 2, 3 years old, my mom drew me a little mermaid and told me the story," the artist wrote on her website. "I was fascinated, it was like magic that the most beautiful picture just came from my mom’s pen. I believe that was when I fell in love with drawing and storytelling."
Now, she's mostly drawing parenting comics about her dreams and everyday life, raising her two daughters, Electra, the firstborn, and Ali, the secondborn, together with her husband. "I do this almost full time now," Messy Cow told Bored Panda. "So besides the time I take care of the kids, I make my funny comics.
The artist said her family is already familiar with her cartoon drawings. "My older child can read now, and she loves the comics. The younger one would look at the pictures and laugh. My husband doesn't talk about it much, but he reads everything and I think he enjoys it.
Out of all the parenting-related things Weng is currently working on, teaching her younger daughter Chinese is one of the most difficult ones. "I want her to read my mother tongue but she doesn't like it. I just force myself to do it every day, for 5 minutes no matter how difficult it is."
LOL. Mine says "cheeeesee" as loud as humanly possible and plasters on the absolute largest, diabolical-looking smile she can possibly manage....she looks...insane. Hope she grows out of it soon! ;)
I mean, that's a fairly realistic interpretation of how kids affect the home isn't it?
To be fair, those other people are probably people on Instagram...
For me it's taking turns with my wife while my kid exercises his gills. He doesn't get out of the sea.
there is an amazing mode on a phone, silent. best used in this situation
Yeah. Same with Elementary and High School Comparison on the weekends, lol!
All these comics only make me more and more sure that I never ever want to have kids. A nightmare.
I am not even a parent but I can say my mum could relate to a majority of these!
These are all funny and adorable, but I haven't we seen like five articles about her comics? I have seen all of these on BP before. I'm just a little tired of all the repetitive articles about the same few comic artists circulating here. *braces for downvotes*
Nods. Like the 3d printing guy. Great inventions no doubt but a lot of articles...c'mon bored panda mix it up a lil!
Load More Replies...They forgot the part where the kids throw a fit if you don't make them the meal they want..but when you do spend the time, money and effort to make the meal they want..they take two bites then want to go play. My mother always solved that issue by re-heating the food we didn't eat the next day..then the next day..then the next day until we ate it all. Her philosophy is don't ask for it unless you intend on eating the whole thing..because she is not going to spend the time and money on making you what you want just to have you waste it. I think that's why now, if there's leftovers of the meal I'm eating, I have a hard time throwing the rest out and save what's left, no matter how small the portion. It's really really irritating.
